Clean and useable. Functional. Perhaps a bit pricey but everything is these days!

Not a style of document storage or a product previously used. Previously, thermal binding was used for thin reports, catalogues and price lists (typically up to 30-35 pages) while comb or wire binding was used for bulkier ones but tend now to be distributed electronically. These "Rapesco ECO Clip File, A4 (Black)" have a broadly similar capacity of 25-30 sheets of 80 gsm paper, a few more if 70 gsm paper is used.Unlike thermal binding which is considered permanent and requires a machine to heat and melt the glue, and wire or comb binding which need their own often expensive machines to punch out the holes required, these are reusable and semi-permanent; removing or replacing a few sheets is quick and simple, requiring no hardware. Pages can be punched but don't need to be.Although each folder has a label on the front cover, they are quite easy to peel off and the result is clean with no remnants. in the event that a folder is damaged or otherwise unusable, they are fully recyclable.If a great many were needed they could be collectively expensive, but for a few or when occasionally used when electronic distribution is impractical, the cost is quite reasonable and lower than for a similar quantity of less-than-attractive ring binders. As the front cover is clear, a title page, colour image of a product or something relevant could be easily included in the pack.

This pack of ten clip files are exactly what you want in your stationery cupboard. Ideal for handing out reports or notes for training to staff or volunteers, these folders are so easy to use, but very flexible and you can re-use over and over making them a very green investment. In general I say to trainees at the end of a course now please remove the papers from your folder and hand it in, but if you have money to burn and image counts for more than the environment you can leave them with the end-users.There is easily room for 20 sheets of 80g paper in one of these folders but it will work with a lot less too. The important thing is that this gives you a very tidy and professional way of presenting reports and data to groups of people for a modest cost. I really like these folders and continue to use them. An excellent product and affordable enough so that you can buy a 100 (ten packs for your stationery cupboard!)

Gave up. Tried 5 sheets, which went in ok but didn't really grip very well. Tried more and just ended up buckling the A4 paper.

Clip files are a simple way to organise and store smaller groups of data, ideal for presentations and projects, either in the workplace or for education. The clear cover is ideal for presentation work, These take up for less room that ring binders. There is really only one moving part, the clip which is pushed in to hold the paper in place, so longevity should be good.Although the plastic is thin, it is only protecting small amounts of paperwork. The long edge of the plastic cover provides almost a centimetre beyond the paper, keeping edges free from harm. The thin plastic keeps the weight down and the flexibility high. Black backing is neutral, suitable for any documents in work or school. The 10 pack will offer better value for money and is ideal should you have multiple groups of work on the go, or need to file smaller sets of data, The spine is quiet thin and has no designated space for labelling, which makes these clip-files more suitable to work in progress projects, rather than longer term filing.

The products arrived very speedily, well packaged and as advertised. I was very pleased to have them as they hold 60 pages which was exactly what I needed (most other packs I found online held far fewer pages).Only reason for the less than 5 stars is because when using 60 sheets in folder (i.e. full capacity) it is VERY difficult to close the clip. A different type of secure closure would definitely be an improvement.
