Yes. Apple-branded cables are pricey. But I've had far too many failures with cheap third party cables. And now, of course, TB5 cables are just hitting the market with the new TB5 machines. So few options.

High quality cable that's worth it
The Apple Thunderbolt cable is super high quality, with rugged connectors and a strong cable. Expensive but worth it.

High quality cable, but expensive
Genuine Thunderbolt 5 cable. Works as expected, as I'm getting the maximum theoretical speed out of my Thunderbolt 4 NVME M.2 SSD drive and enclosure. Beware of making the same mistake I did and buying cheap, unknown Chinese brands selling alleged Thunderbolt 5 cables. My SSD actually slowed down and got very hot when I used those cables.I rate this cable 4 star and not 5 because of the price. This cable is $20 more than the Belkin Thunderbolt 5 cable and that is just as good since that too is from a reliable brand. I tested the Belkin cable and it works as expected. You are paying for both quality and a premium for the Apple name here.

Only buy the Thunderbolt 5 that is from Apple...!
If you intend to invest in a MacMini 2024-2025, it is imperative to procure the authentic Thunderbolt 5 cable from Apple or Amazon.This Thunderbolt 5 cable performs exceptionally well, and my initial purchase was not from Apple.Prior to obtaining the genuine Apple Thunderbolt 5 cable, my monitor’s picture would distort upon waking up my MacMini each morning. However, this issue has been resolved, and I no longer encounter any distortions.By utilizing the authentic Apple Thunderbolt 5 cable, I am able to fully utilize all my Mac devices that support this connection.I share my insights and experiences with you. Fixed MacBook Pro issues
This cable isn’t cheap but it 100% fixed the issues we were having with our MacBook Pro and out portable monitor. It was laggy and would turn off then on. But not with this cable. Everything is smooth and no power cycles at all. So happy we purchased this.
