I originally got this for my side-by-side to add extra cargo storage for hauling items around the property (it’s a large property with dirt roads). It is definitely a heavy carrier, as in very weighty. After putting it on and off my side-by-side several times, I decided I wanted to put it on a vehicle that it would stay on more permanently. So, I moved it to my Jeep and that’s where it now “lives” most of the time (the Jeep is another vehicle used only on the property to move items around).This rack is very heavy duty and very well made. I can load it with gas cans, chainsaws, and log tongs and head to the mountain for a day of firewood cutting. It will also hold my small generator and any tools I need for working on other areas of the property. The size is good for day jobs and it keeps the mess out of the Jeep. It’s a good size for larger items that you don’t want inside your vehicle. I also appreciate that it is raised up especially when climbing the mountainous roads and trails.For the most part, I just strap my items to the cargo carrier, but there is also a really nice, well made cargo bag that comes with it. The bag probably won’t get much use in my situation because I typically don’t work outside in the rain, but I might use it during the dry months to keep dust off my loads as I go over the trails.Everything about this product is sturdy, solid, and seems durable. The finish is good. I’ve had no issues with it (and I have some really bumpy dirt roads). I like the size. The one thing I don’t like is how heavy it is. It is just not suitable for quick on and off application. At least, I have another option to use it and it worked out great. I really didn’t use the locking mechanism as my equipment is on site and stored inside buildings at night. I didn’t see a need for it in my case.The price point seems very good for what you are getting. I would recommend it.

This is a nice basket and seems to be very well built. My first package arrived bent and missing parts, but they sent the replacement quickly. I do wish that the entire hitch was for a 2" receiver, but I understand the desire to accommodate smaller hitches. It does seem reinforced and the raised hitch is great for ground clearance.

This cargo hitch carrier is really heavy duty and has a big storage capacity. I love the quality and i love how easy it is to assemble. The price is perfect as well, not too cheap and not expensive as well but you definitely get you money's worth.

The way this item was packaged was highly disappointing. All of the zip ties meant to bundle the many pieces and fasteners together were broken so everything in the box was loose and scattered. Some washers and bolts were missing and the parts that were loose banged against others and chipped the paint. Assembling was frustrating. A rail on the bottom of one basket pieces was bent so the pre drilled holes didn’t line up. I had to use a screwdriver as pry bar just to get the holes to align and scrounge up bolts and washers to replace the ones that were missing. I haven’t had the chance to test functionality yet, but if it mirrors the way it was manufactured and packaged, my expectations are not very high.I will update once I put the assembled product to the test.

With a quick adjustment, our storage solution transformed into the perfect fireside bench, no more lugging separate chairs! I wasn't sure it would hold us all comfortably, but we sat side by side roasting marshmallows without a single wobble or concerning sound. The kids kept calling it our "adventure throne" all weekend, fighting over who got to sit on it next. What a brilliant solution for outdoor gatherings, secure transport that doubles as sturdy seating means one less bulky item to cram into our already packed van. We're already planning to bring it to my son's baseball tournament next weekend for hauling team snacks and providing extra parent seating when the bleachers fill up. Definite recommend from me!

3.5 star. Pkg arrived early, but there was obvious damage to the cardboard box but after inspection there didn't appear to be much damage to inside parts. Except a few rubs on the powder coat finish. I installed using current 1/14 recieving hitch no need for the 2 inch adapter. The only real issue i had was the locking security keyed hitch lock was sized for a 2inch reciever through hole and not for 1-1/4 reciever through hole.So for now only using a keeper pin for the hitch pin till I can order the right size.Assembly was straight forward only missing one nut but local hardware store had what I needed. Oh and for the vehicle fit yes it fit but the hitch arm is resting on rear under bummer had to insert a small foam piece to prevent rubbing.
