works as described
This worked well with the compression stockings after my hip replacement though there is a knack to using it. I found that I had to get the length of stocking in the 'shute' to slightly more that the foot and the heel. This gave me just about the right tension in the stocking when the frame is pullled up. If I used the heel as a start point on the shute I tended to get the stocking too tight and then you may need someone else to loosen it off by hand or take it off so you could start again. I have quite chunky legs and the large size is just about right for me. The medium size would not have worked for me so I would say err on the large side. Loading stockings onto the 'shute' is tricky at first but if you can get your thumb over one side and your pinkie over the other that makes sock loading a lot easier. I no longer have to wear the stockings but I still use the frame for putting on my sock on my operated leg. The frame is not cheap but it was worth it for me . If you live alone as I do, try to practice with the frame before your surgery or you may need some help for the first few times as while the frame will get the stocking on, it won't get it off and I developed a hook on the end of a stick to get them off on my own but that is another story!

Very effective
Very easy to use

Doesn't live up to its name
It's more effort to stretch the compression hosiery (both class III and class II to fit over the frame than to put it on directly.I would have rated it zero stars if that was an option. A waste of money.

Good once mastered
Once you master the technique it's a very useful bit of kit but just getting the stockings onto the frame could be a struggle for someone with arthritic hands say.

Can't be without it.
I recently broke one of these I had for some time, thanks to Amazon's swift delivery my new one was here in mo time.Once you get used to using one you will never look back. The easy way for me is when the sock is fed on to the rack I stand steady myself on the wall and place my foot through untill my foots on the floor then gently move back to sit on the bed grab the two handles gentle pull up and done. You will maybe find another way but I do recommend buying one of these I cannot be without one it's helped as I'm on my own so would be in trouble with out one๐ก๐.

Very helpful
I needed something to help with putting on compression stockings after a total hip replacement. This item is extremely useful. It takes some time to work out the best way to use it and the instructions which come with the package are not very clear. However, I found a very helpful video on You Tube which showed precisely how to go about things. I personally have found it easiest to put the frame on the bed whilst putting the stocking on to it and then to stand whilst inserting the foot into the stocking. After that I sit on the bed and pull the frame up. The only problem I have found is that with dark coloured stockings (mine are black) it isn't easy to see where the heel of the stocking is, which is vital in getting the stockings into the correct position on the frame. I have ordered a white laundry marker to mark the heel of the stockings and hope that this will solve the problem. If standing is difficult for you it should be possible, after a little practice, to lie on the bed and pull up the frame that way.

Does make it easier but very expensive for what it is.
OK does what it claims. But very expensive for what it is. This supplier has very slow delivery.
