For my Shake-weight enthusiasts
Got these suckers when browsing late night. I got the 200lb chrome ones, they look nice, not pretty. Small dings and a few chips. But if you want pretty weights go get the pink rubber ones. The handles feel good, weights feel good and the best part is the rubber cushion for the nut that screws on to hold it in place pretty well.Ultimately you want weight that is adjustable and it is just that. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are taking a star away for a ding or flaking of the weights, then you probably need a Shake-weight instead.A good buy for sure.

The only review you need to read
I was really skeptical about buying these after reading a couple reviews about the Chrome chipping off, I'm going to give you a rundown what to expectThe weights finished pretty well but you can tell they are not perfect because they are mass-produced and cheapAnd what I mean is, there are no large flaws but you can see in a few spots where they ran the grinder too smooth something out do not expect these to look like chrome wheels but they do look pretty darn goodThey are a mess to unpack and they do smell like gasoline and pickles, just have a couple trash bags there when you open them, and a rag or old shirt with some alcohol on it to wipe them down as you pull them out, not a big dealThey are truly Chrome plated not painted,,there is a fine Chrome glitter in the Box with them ..Open them up and wipe them down as you're pulling them out and that will keep the mess downThere are no spots where the Chrome is coming off,,or even close to coming off on the ones I received, you can tell they were not perfectly clean before being chromed but like I said they are not chrome rims they are weightsI am a bit OCD about my stuff and I think these look great and will last forever... I ordered the 200 lb set and it came in 4 boxes the weights were divided between three boxes and the stands in another single box the shipping was great big came way before I expectedFinal thoughts are, they are awesome looking weights and do not hesitate to buy these, do not let a few bad reviews change your mind

T-E-D-I-O-U-S to screw collars off and on every set, and chrome flakes off
There are a few problems with these:- As others have mentioned, the chrome on the bar itself flakes off. It is all over the floor and I ended up with one chrome flake/splinter stuck in the sole of my foot (was stretching w/o shoes on). The screw-on collars seem to be the culprit (that ,and cheap chrome plating...)- The rubber rings that fit into a groove on the collars (retainer nuts) stick to the weight instead of in the groove, so between every set you have to peel the ring off the weight and re-insert into the groove before adding the next plates. Every. Single. Time. This gets very tedious- Spare rubber rings are provided, but in my experience they last about a month before you need to replace them. Once the last rubber ring is used up you then use the weights with no rings, risking the collars from becoming unscrewed. I have not tried these yet without the rubber rings to see how secure the collars are that way, but worst case is the whole weight set is then unusable and becomes a door stop. If the best case happens and the rubber rings are not needed, then why include them?!?!- I knew this going in, but it the screw-on collars are getting to be a bit of a pain to screw off/on between every set. For 2 dumbbells you need to screw these off and on 4 times. Do 3 sets and that's 12 times just for a single exercise. If your workout is 10 exercises, that's 120 times in a single workout. It would be a lot better without the rubber ring coming out of the groove in the collar every time, but still a bit of a pain. I am wishing I had spent more to get the Bowflex or similar dial-a-weight type dumbbells- The bar seems slightly over 1" so the clamp-on collars I bought to replace the screw-on ones did not fit. Those other collars did fit a different 1" bar so these bars may just be slightly too big. I will try another brand of collars since that will fix both the rubber ring problem plus the hassle of screwing them off and on 4 times between each set.

Non-standard size is a BIG NEGATIVE. Stay away!!
The bar size is not standard. Dumbbell bars are usually 1” in diameter, but this is 1 1/8”. This makes it impossible to find compatible weights/clamps from other manufacturers. I hate using screws to hold the weights, so I tried three different weight clamps and none of them fit. If I had known this before I wouldn’t have purchased these dumbbells. But the description never included this very important feature. Good luck trying to find additional weights for these bars. Very frustrating.Other than that, they work just fine.

Ok deal
Here's the deal.I bought the chrome set and did not get the indoor safety trays, even though the description clearly states that they are included.Perhaps "optional" means they decide whether to include it or not. Nice wording guys! "- You'll have to get use to the long dumbbell handle if you're lifting less than 50 pounds. If you're not careful you can knock yourself out, literally.- It's a bit of a chore to add/remove plates, but that's what you expect with low cost equipment.- Make sure to you tighten the collars enough to prevent plate movement.- Make sure to wear workout gloves if you are lifting more than 20 pounds, because the handles have a very coarse pattern
