Georg JensenManhattan Cocktail Shaker, 25 Ounce

I bought this because of the brand and the cool looks. Quality is OK. The shaked could benefit from a little more heft, and the lip of the strainer is thin, almost sharp. But it does look cool. Unfortunately this shaker is not very functional. After shaking, the lid is stuck on so tight it is impossible to open. Rinsing the shaker in hot water to heat up the metal doesn't help. I have to let it sit for 15 minutes before I have any chance of teasing the two pieces apart. And I am not a wimp by any means. So forget about using this at parties. It's pretty much single use only. But did I mention how cool it looks?

Good. It's definitely better than £20 shakers but I'm not convinced that it's worth the price tag. I often pay a little extra to get a better experience with finer products but I feel this one is just satisfactory. It's true that it doesn't leak (yet), but nor do most shakers. If it was £50 I'd be willing to give it 5 stars but at £100+ it is more around 3.

First class craftsmanship, seriously well made, top quality item. Everything fits together neatly and no leakage. In fact, I would go so far as to say it should cost more!! A great addition to my butler tray and I will certainly be back to buy more Georg Jensen products. Most impressed customer.

Elegant ,sleek , retro style cocktail shaker with integral strainer it shouts “quality” The lid stays firmly in place so no leaks , the strainer holds back the ice so no splashes when you pour. Attractive enough to leave out on show.
