5 so worth the wait STARS
Another emotional, heartwarming and absolutely beautiful story. This single dad, enemies to lovers romance will give you all the feels you are looking for in a book and will leave you with a huge grin on your face.I was waiting for this book since Cuffed and I was so impatient to get to know Grayson and his cute little boy. And man, did they steal my heart? I absolutely fell in love with these Malone men and their story captivated me from the very beginning. And the title couldn’t be more perfect because they were indeed WORTH THE WAIT and WORTH THE RISK.Grayson - another broken hero and Kristy Bromberg definitely can write those like no other. His story was heartbreaking and I felt his pain and anger the whole time, but I was also in awe of the way he raised his son despite the circumstances. He was proclaimed a hero in his town for saving a lot of people as a rescue pilot, but he was trying to avoid all unnecessary attention for the sake of his child. It was simply impossible not to fall in love with him.He had a lot of pent-up bitterness and he certainly had his reasons to close himself off from the world and not let anyone near him or his son, but sometimes you just have to take the chance and open yourself up to the possibilities ahead of you and hope they will be worth the risk.Sidney - she was an ambitious girl from the big city determined to get her dream job. I have to say I wasn’t her biggest fan from the start. I admired her resolve to get what she wanted, but it seemed to me she was missing the big picture and not living her life to the fullest. Little by little she discovered herself and I loved the way her character evolved. Her development throughout the book was remarkable. It was impossible to resist these Malone men and eventually, as expected, she fell under their spell. And Luke …OMG! This little boy completely stole my heart with his innocent comments, sensitivity and boyish charm. He was like the glue to put together all the pieces in this story. I felt his pain and struggled with him, but I had some good laughs at those father-son talks. He was adorable and his presence added to the story and made it that more emotional and heartwarming.Grayson and Sidney didn’t have a good start. And at the beginning, it seemed like this was the impossible relationship. They were like fire and ice and frustrated the hell out of me. But you could feel the sexual tension flowing in the air and even when they were mad at each other they were like a firecracker ready to explode. The passion and chemistry were off the charts hot. And even though they were trying to fight their attraction for various reasons, it was impossible to ignore for too long. And then when they finally gave up to the temptation they were like an explosion meant to happen. It was intense, it was mindblowing and just simply took my breath away. I was fanning myself on some of those steamy scenes. But there was so much more to this story than the hot passion flowing from the pages. It was a story of slow self-discovery for both of them and I enjoyed watching them overcome their fears and take the chance at love. I also loved the small talks with the rest of the Malone family and the banter between the brothers, the little glimpses of the lives of the other couples. It was so good to be back in this world. And the little references to the Driven series made me smile. The writing was immaculate as usual. Perfect mixture of drama, laughs, hot steamy scenes, explosive passion, painful moments, intense situations, anger, fear, but most of all love – unexpected, never meant to happen, but healing. Love that was WORTH THE RISK. This story was definitely so worth the wait and worth the read and you should just jump straight in and enjoy the ride.p.s. This cover is simply gorgeous. And I can’t wait for Desi’s story.

Another swoonworthy Malone man from K Bromberg
Worth the Risk by K Bromberg4.5 stars!!!“Not all risks are bad things.”K Bromberg delivers another amazing Malone brother with Worth the Risk and this time it is the turn of Grayson, our helicopter emergency pilot. K Bromberg is one of the queens of the slow burn and this one is simply delicious as she perfectly weaves two total opposites, with insane chemistry and a whole lot of baggage. Where first opinions are often the wrong ones and where actually taking the time to get to know someone is what matters most and ultimately can have the most amazing results.Grayson has had me intrigued since we first met the Malone men. He always seemed to be deep and meaningful, a man caught in his own head and his heart closed off to everyone bar his son and family. As with all the Malone men he would do anything for anyone, put himself in danger, despite the consequences. But it was their incredible family dynamic that had instilled this into their every fibre. It was obvious that Grayson had had his heart broken, decimated would be a more accurate description, but this wasn’t your typical rejection, a rejection of not only him, but his son too. However, while Grayson is incredibly jaded, —especially with the social divide being that it caused his selfish ex to make the choice of money over them— he wouldn’t have it any other way, his son was all that mattered, his love life no longer did.“Maybe I could stay over again soon and play PS4 with you.”“I’m pretty versed in which buttons to push.”“That you are.”Sidney is the daughter of a wealthy man in publishing and while she works in the family business, she has had to work hard for it. No silver platter for her and she was not afraid to get her hands dirty either. Sidney has huge aspirations for where she wants to end up, but her father is not going to give it her without her earning it. After another mistake of Sidney’s is brought to her father’s attention, he punishes her, he moves her out of her comfort zone and into their home town where their publishing journey began, and where the first magazine they started is failing. Sidney needs to turn it around and prove herself, else her ideal job will be a distant memory. Enter the “Hot Dad” contest, and it is here where Grayson and Sidney’s paths cross.I loved the slow burn of this one and you could kind of say it had a little hate/love too. Grayson tars Sidney with the same brush as his ex and his blanket beliefs with regards to the rich were as infuriating as they were mean at times. However, I understood him. I hurt for him. Even if I wanted to scream at him “Sidney is not her!” Sidney used to be that girl, but she has grown up now and is a totally different person, even if she does love the little luxuries that life affords her, but her heart is in the right place and she has a huge one.“If she owns your mind —and your moods— like she has, don’t you think she just might be worth the risk?”The chemistry between these two was palpable, those sparks ever present, despite a stubborn a** man called Grayson. I loved that constant push and pull, that will they won’t they. The barbs that flowed freely, that stubborn, antagonistic attitude that both of them had and made the most of. These two knew how to rile one and other up and they did…often. But it is a fine line between love and hate and once these two venture below the surface, you know deep down there will be no stopping them.“I’m fighting for you, Grayson. Is that what you want? I’m fighting for you when she wouldn’t, but I sure as hell won’t compete against your ghosts.”Worth the Risk is definitely worth the read. It has a great message, a great couple and one totally adorable little boy that will melt every heart. The slow burn was delicious, the dialogue on point and the chemistry was off the charts. This is what K Bromberg does best and once again she delivered. Worth the Risk can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading about the other Malone men in Cuffed and Combust.

He's pretty much closed himself off and he's happy to keep ...
Last of the Malone brothers!! Gutted!! i'm sure they have another brother somewhere!! Although we are gonna get a little sneek at Desi in November!!Grayson Malone is the sensible one of his brothers. Always the peace keeper in family squabbles and always the one to sort stuff out. He has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders being a single dad and he takes it very seriously. He loves three things in his life his son, his family and his job. He has no time or inclination to add anything else to that. He took a risk once on a woman and it didn't turn out well. He refuses to put himself and his son through that again. He's pretty much closed himself off and he's happy to keep it that way.Sidney has always dreamed of being an editor in chief of a fashion magazine. She's trying to work her way up her fathers publishing house but a friend needed her help and she missed a big interview that would have helped propel her to the top. Her very strict father thinks she needs to learn a lesson so he assigns her to a family based magazine located in her old home town with the task of saving it.Begrudgingly she goes back to a place she was desperate to leave. She comes face to face with a blast from the past. Grayson. They were never really friendly, she was a rich girl and Grayson was from a blue collar family who only served her and her friends in his after school job. She never had time for Grayson and he never had time for her. Now she's forced to ask him a favor. One he doesn't want to do. With the help of her new boss she sets out to make Grayson the face of the magazine in hopes she can save it.Can they put aside their background and work together?I'll start by saying i have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Each one has been different and entertaining. There has been something in all of them that i have loved. This unfortunately is my least favorite and that really surprised me. I thought Grayson would be my number one. My peeve is that i got sick of him putting Sid down and blaming her pretty much for everything bad in the world because she had money. I totally get why he did. He was burned and badly by his ex. I get that i do. It just got tiresome for me, it wasn't enough of an excuse after a while. In fact i felt myself getting angry on Sid's behalf. And it wasn't just him that gave her constant digs but her father too. I felt myself saying "give the girl a break!" I liked him sometimes but when he was being immature it really really made me angry. Of course he comes good in the end but by then i was a little too annoyed with him to properly enjoy it.Sidney is the highlight of this book for me i loved her. I can say she was far more mature than me when dealing with Grayson. I would have stomped off like a 4 year old and never gone back no matter how good looking he was!! She was strong and brave and loyal and mature and just a really sweet lovely girl. Grayson was a lucky man she was so forgiving!!I loved little Luke. He was another highlight. And of course all the Malone family. The addition of Rissa was a blessing for Sidney. I loved her character and i hope at some point she might get a story.I did love the storyline i got really invested in the story. The writing as usual from K Bromberg was impeccable. It's just the aggravation i felt at Grayson that's made me drop a star.Definately recommend along with Cuffed and Combust.4 Stars

Another fantastic book from Kristy!
It goes without saying that, when you pick up a Kristy book you’re in for a treat. I fell in love with her writing style back when I read DRIVEN and haven't fallen out of love with it since. She has the ability to make you laugh, cry and growl at your kindle. And that’s what I want from a story.Grayson and Sidney's story was a bit of a slow start for me, I'll be honest. I'm not sure if it's just how it was for me or because I was reading it off the back of a reread of the Driven series. However, once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. I devoured it in less than twenty-four hours. There are so many things I love about this story—I love that it's a journey of self-discovery for both characters, I love that there is drama for the sake of drama and I absolutely adore the fact that Grayson is a single Dad with an incredible and funny little boy.I love how raw the emotions that Grayson feels about his heartbreak and present are, he's so very real, just doing his best and trying to be the best Dad he can be. I fell for him pretty hard I have to admit and he's one I'll go back and reread I'm sure. One of my favourite things about the book and one I think is really important is that the language little Luke uses is right for his age. Some authors add children to the mix and the language is too adult and it just doesn't work. But Kristy nailed it and had me laughing so many times. This is the first book in this series that I've read and I'm off to download the next!

Fantastic story
Another fantastic story from Kirsty , having read the preceding books in this series i knew I had to read this one . Grayson Malone was always known as the peacemaker in the Malone household but he’s been very unlucky in love. He fell in love with a girl called Claire but as she was from a very well to do family her family frowned on the relationship ,not that Grayson came from a poor family infact he came from a very stable hard working household ,a big problem arose when Claire became pregnant by Grayson . After baby Luke was born her parents would not acknowledge the child and in a last ditch attempt to break them up her parents threatened to cut her allowances and leave her without any income if she didn’t leave her son & Grayson which unbelievably is exactly what she did . She walked away from them and destroyed Grayson in the process but he has done a marvellous job of bringing his son up and Luke has turned into a georgeous child but one thing he wants most of all is a mother. Grayson's life is about to be turned upside down when his brothers have secretly entered him in a Hot Dad Contest with a local magazine ,the first he learns of it is when Sidney Thornton knocks on his door with the news that he’s been shortlisted . Sidney has been seconded back to her home town from San fransisco as her father who’s owns quite a few magazines and is also her boss thinks that she needs to apply herself better in the workplace . Grayson and Sydney knew one another from their school days she was one of Claire’s friends, as you can imagine there’s a lot of hostility between them but as with all good love stories inevitably that hostility turns in to something else. It’s a well written story with certain conversations between Luke ,Grayson & Sidney will have you laughing out loud ,but there are some which tug at your heartstrings . Will there be a HEA ? ......I’m sure you can guess the answer to that .

Great instalment in a series of complete stories that could all be read as stand alone books.
Grayson is the youngest of the Malone brothers. As a single dad, he is extremely protective of his son and tries his best to make up for the fact that Luke's mother isn't around. He may be one of the local heartthrobs in Sunnyville, with all the single women queuing up to be "the one" for him, but that side of his life is kept well away from Luke to protect him. Any woman he even speaks to is a potential mom in Luke's eyes!Sidney Thornton is back in town on a mission. She stuffed up so her father has sent her back to their hometown to reluctantly work on the Modern Family magazine. Not that she is interested in a magazine about "family" but she has a point to prove - that she can turn the magazine around, is good at her job, can be relied upon, and worthy of the editor's role at a fashion magazine - her dream job.Sid's idea to boost the ratings of 'Modern Family' is to have a "hot dad" contest. It works well! Sid needs to get the local contestant to do his photo shoot, but what she didn't expect was that he didn't enter, didn't know about the contest and wasn't interested! Sid new Grayson from high school, but his memories of her are not good. Can they prove to each other that people grow and change, that you have different goals in life as life gets in the way?Lovely, slow burn story with some fab characters. Luke steals Sid's and your heart very early on.

Breathtaking, captivating read
Another fab book written by Kristy. We have had the story about the two Malone brothers. This edition follows the trials and troubles of the heart of Grayson Malone a rescue helicopter pilot. Sidney returns back to her hometown after being sent back by her father as punishment for messing up on an interview for one of the family magazines, he makes her work on a magazine that she has no interest in, in a town that is far from the hustle and bustle of the city life she is used to. To save the magazine she comes up with a hot dad contest, as she vets the contestants she comes face to face with the hot and brooding single dad Grayson Malone. He wants nothing to do with the contest which his brothers entered him in or Sidney who he didn't have fond memories of from school. Sidney is persistent to get him involved and in doing so they both grow closer and cannot deny their chemistry, but both have issues if they get together, Sidney doesn't want the wrath of her father for messing up again and Grayson is fighting his own demons from past heartbreaks and protecting his son. Can they both look to the future and stop the past from affecting them, will their wants and dreams change and include each other, only time will tell. A hot scorching read full of chemistry, lust and another hot Malone brother in uniform.
