There are a couple of features on this that makes it better than most. The first one I'll focus on is the center rod that you set according to the way you set up to the ball. You can find videos on line that explain how to do this, but this rod when aligned properly to your swing setup will let you know if your swing is under (not good) or over this rod at a certain part of your swing (it's about the middle of your backswing).But this same rod will let you know if you are coming down too steep (once again going UNDER the rod). So what sets this particular alignment plate apart is that there are degrees marked on it. So if you are using this for various people all you have to do is set it at the appropriate degree for that persons setup, but it's also for your various clubs. A driver will be set at a flatter degree than irons, and wedges will be steeper still. Just write down the degrees for each and setup will be easy.The second thing about this is the rods themselves. They look like they are made out of cheap plastic, similar to a large straw, but they are actually painted steel rods. Not even aluminum, these are steel and frankly quite heavy for their size which helps to make this even heavier which is good because even if your club bumps into the main rod it isn't going to move much, if at all.The plate is decently heavy also, but nothing more or less than others of this type. The plate also has a hole in each corner like others, and that is so you can put tees there if you are using it in grass, or if inside you can screw or bolt it in place.I can highly recommend this for the serious golfer, but you will need mirrors or someone watching, or even video yourself using this so you can tell if you are going under or over the main rod consistently.

This review is probably most helpful for someone considering this as a gift for their golfer loved one.My husband was thrilled to see this arrive as it is quite similar to the training aid he uses with our local golf pro. I am not a golfer so I can't get into the mechanics, but essentially it works well to help focus on your alignment and help you learn where and how to adjust your swing for better, more consistent results.The product is sturdy and well made, and it can be disassembled to compact size so if you want to bring it with you, it's easy to do.My golfer mentioned that his pro shop uses two of these together to train on motion and movement, so if your golfer is looking for a more advanced development, you might want to get a set of them.

I like that it has the angle displayed on it so I can set it easily. However, it didn't come with any instructions on how to assemble and correct placement of washers. it doesn't seem to stay tight. you can only use the alignment sticks that come with it, which are multiple sections. You can not use standard alignment sticks (too thick) which i prefer as they are easier work with and stay together. I do recommend that you put a hollow pool noodle over the rod. Definitely useable, but I have seen better ones.

This is a must have training tool for any serious golfer. It is constructed very well and is easily adjustable. The instructions are lacking but there are so many videos online showing how to use it that doesn't really matter. The alignment sticks are short and the connectors don't really work so I just used regular sized ones instead of the ones it comes with. Overall great product.

This alignment stick holder is built very well. Solid metal and heavy in weight. This helps a ton as it will hold your sticks at any angle without concern of falling over or moving inadvertently. Especially helpful when using on turf as there is no need to pin it in place. This product can be used in several ways as you practice your golf swing. I love to use it setup at an angle behind my stance as it forces me to swing under the angled stick and forces a more in to out swing path (eliminating the pesky slice ball path). Buy with confidence, this product will hold up for years to come... And help your game!

Thick sturdy plate thats fully adjustable. Comes with alignment sticks and an ok divot tool. What I like most is the angle adjustments marked on the plate. Really helps me work on my game. Nice training aid.
