Nice looking grinder
You have to give it a little knock now and then to free the coffee beans when grinding, or the beans get stuck and you end up grinding thin air. That's not much of a problem though.[Edit] ...Just to add, before I bought this I'd read a few reviews complaining of bits of metal appearing when the coffee had been ground, so I purchased a small magnet at the same time. I've run the magnet over the ground coffee on quite a few occasions and it has never picked up any metal.

Great little coffee grinder
I really liked this coffee grinder. It has a sturdy build, and feels surprisingly heavy in your hand. It looks like it is hand-made, as it has those imperfections that are typical for hand-made artisanal goods. I personally don't mind that at all, as it does not take away from the functionality, but certainly adds character. There was no instruction included with the grinder, but the Amazon product listing actually has everything you need to know.I do suggest you at least wipe off the coffee compartment at the bottom before the first use. Mine had small metal particles, and I certainly did not want that in my brew. I also discarded a first small batch of coffee grinds, just in case there was something in the grinding mechanism as well, as it is made out of metal as well.To adjust the coarseness you simply use the same handle you use for grinding the beans. Simply turn the bolt at the bottom of the grinder clockwise (see my 2nd and 3rd pic), until you get the coarseness that you prefer. I turned it too tight for my likeness at first, and it came out a perfect espresso quality. The bean compartment would hold enough to use for several cups (well, unless you drink more of a mud type of a brew :-)). I would say it is perfect for one or two mugs at the time (or several smaller European cups), after which is gets kind of annoying to use it (but again, a matter of preference).Overall this is a great product if you prefer a manual burr grinder, and need something compact that does not take up space. I also think it is beautiful, and very well made.
