Morsels of happiness in cherry form but unhappy at lack of transparency concerning added sugar content
Kirkland Signature Dried Cherries are costly but if you've been in search of a decent cherry, try these, but be aware that's it's not obvious how much sugar has been added to them.I'm married to a woman who is inordinately fond of cherries but has stopped buying the fresh ones because the quality and taste always falls short. We've tried lots of dried cherries and found them to be as indifferent as the fresh ones.Kirkland Signature Dried Cherries are Montmorency cherries so they're pleasantly tangy and a good acid sweet balance despite the added sugar in these (unfortunately, it doesn't state how much sugar is added, which is irritating). However, we've used these cherries in some baked items and it didn't unbalance the recipe in the way that some dried cherries do. (Some producers partially dry cherries, rehydrate them with a heavy sugar solution, and then dry them again which preserves the texture quite well but makes them so sweet that the slight acid bite of the cherry flavour is lost. And using more sugar than you account for in some recipes can be enough to ruin the texture, e.g., a biscuit.)The cherries are plump and moist without any of the over-hard texture that marrs some dried fruit. They release their flavour well. These cherries have a good colour and make an attractive addition to salads or a mix-in for granola and similar foods. These cherries have worked well in every recipe in which we've included them. It's possible that it's been so long since we had a decent cherry that we over-rate these because we don't know any better. But, for now, we're happy in our ignorance, and will continue to buy these until we're fortunate enough to discover a better one. (Or we learn that there's such a high amount of added sugar that it feels that we're paying a very high premium to purchase something that is substantially added sugar rather than fruit. There are 25g of sugar in a 40g serving but I've no idea how much of that is the fruit's natural sugar content and how much has been added. I wish food producers/distributors were more transparent about this.)

Lots of sugar
What surprised me was the amount of sugar, 64 grams of sugar per 100 grams of cherries. I suppose some of this is natural, however the ingredients do list sugar as an additive. After all, these are supposed to be sour cherries?. If you are on a low sugar diet this may be a problem. For baking or sausage making this should be O.K. as you can adjust other ingredients, however for a snacking this is way too much sugar,at least for me.

Taste, ease of use and cost.
I made some beautiful fruit cakes, using the dried cherries, for family, friends and for those who were ailing in my community.Everyone loved the cherry cakes, cherry & banana cakes and apple & cherry cake. I've also reccomended Kirkland Dried Cherries to others.I also look forward to purchasing more from you soon, as I'm enbarking on teaching a couple teenagers(who have asked me to), to teach them to bake.I also look forward to experimenting with making new recipes using the cherries.AD.

Love these cherries..
For good sleep, maybe even some vivid dreams.Although I bought them as I'm seriously into gym training...and they are supposed to reduce muscle soreness. I guess they do (I never really get muscle soreness, although this 'experiment' is not controlled for other factors!).Just a few at night...not to be eaten by the bowl..they're sweet!

Plump juicy dried cherries
Lovely juicy plump dried(ish) cherries, I find they are the right balance between sweet and sour . Slightly cheaper from Costco, if you can get them. I like them as snacks and husband puts in his overnight oats . Lovely

Like these. Always have them around for a quick snack. I love eating them with 80% or darker dark chocolate.

yummy
Very tasty and reasonably priced. Not sure how healthy this product is (tons of sugar....), but the sour cherries are certainly delicious.

Excellent Quality
So delicious, either straight from the bag but also for cooking - and they make the most beautiful Cherry and Chocolate Muffins. What a treat over Christmas.
