I bought this to try and help my dry eyes at night. Firstly, it is completely silent in operation; so we can both sleep soundly. However, I does make gurgling sounds occasionally but the noises are very variable. The first night I didn't notice any, the second night quite a few and last night hardly any. The gurgles didn't actually wake me up, my eyes do that, and they're quite melodic really but might but some people. Otherwise, this is an excellent product.

I was really disappointed with this humidifier as I had done quite a bit of research to find one that was quiet enough to suit a bedroom. Unfortunately this one was just as noisy as much cheaper ones, actually it was more so.It has the same fan sound and bubbling sound that all the other humidifiers I have tried had, but in addition after a while it makes a glugging sound as large air bubbles rise up from the base where the water is used.As a humidifier it does produce lots of steam and I like how you can direct the flow. The water tank is nice and big too. Unfortunately is it not suitable for a room you are going to sleep in.
