this is the big boy you need for heft
I have used this for stump removal and it hits big and hard. If you are splitting large logs or parts of tree trunks this will do it, provided you don't have a "silly" hammer. Sledge-hammer plus this, equals big hitting power - 30/40 cm tree trunks split in a single hit.

Useful for splitting logs with existing cracks
This is a useful tool for splitting logs with existing cracks. The sharp end is quite thick so it cannot be used to start a split in a log. I found the best way to use it is in conjunction with a conical shaped splitter, with a sharp point, which can be used to start a crack. The Draper splitter can then be used to widen the crack on quite large logs and so split them open. It is also useful for widening a crack so that a stuck splitter can be removed. The Draper splitter is very heavy and strong so it can pack quite a punch.

Not for me
I found the blade to be way to thick for the logs i was splitting, although they were seasoned and had visible splits I just could not get it started....maybe it is me however my other smaller version works a treat

Not sharp enough!
I found it impossible to get it started even with a 4lb hammer and an existing split in the log.

Il.cuneo a mio avviso è più adatto al taglio pianta che a spaccare legna le dimensioni sono troppo abbondanti e fatica ad entrate nel ceppo

Parfait si il y a une fente
Solide et pas cher ce coin est efficace pour fendre du bois si on sait l'utiliser. Bien entendu il faut qu'il y ait déjà une fente pour glisser le coin. Sinon il faut commencer avec un coin plus petit, plus fin et tranchant. Ou faire une fente à la hachette pourquoi pas ? Là il s'agit d'un GROS coin de 2,7 kg dimension 26,5 x 5,2 x 3,8 cm !
