Amazing toy for even a seven year old
I got this as a gift for my five-year-old niece. She loves it so much! She can play with it for hours (yay for reducing screen time too). She loves the preset music that comes with it, and this goes well with her other music DJ toys that we have. Now she has her collection. My sister is trying to get her interested in a real piano, but she doesn't seem to care. However, with this little portable piano toy, it reignites her interest in the piano. I guess it's not the music that kids don't like to play, but rather the equipment. Thanks for making such an accessible toy and allowing my niece to rediscover music at her own taste and pace again!

Colorful mini keyboard
My son has a couple different sized keyboards so I got this for his birthday to add to the collection. I was surprised that the keys weren't actually keys, but more of a touch surface - it's like a frosted plastic. The touch response is sensitive if you go slow but not recognized when going faster; it won't play every key if you run your finger down the board. My son really loves the rainbow lights, though. The light mode can be changed so it lights up the keys in different ways/patterns when keys are pressed. You can also change the sound effect by selecting different instruments. With the follow-along/learning mode, you can follow the lit keys to play different songs; once the song is finished it plays back the tune in the same speed/rhythm you played it at. It does require 3 AAA batteries, which are not included. Overall, it's a decent keyboard for littles. A cool novelty for older ones. But it's not great for actually being able to play songs.

Even Adults Can Learn From This Well Built Mini Piano! ;o)
Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o)I was never blessed with a musical education as a child. My hubby has, and wanted to help me understand some music fundamentals for a project I'm working on. We both checked out Amazon, and discovered this unique colorful light-up mini piano to help me understand via color coding how the notes 'come together.'Needless to say, this baby sized piano passed the test with flying colors, pun intended! ;o)Big surprise! This piano accurately produced correct tones, for the 'C' major scale. My hubby was amazed as well, and he used a piano calibration tool that proved this tiny piano hit the right notes! Not only that, this little guy also illustrated other instruments as well, to enrich my understanding. The light up keyboard was helpful in playing a few tunes to emulate and broaden my musical ability. I can see why this gadget is fantastic learning tool for both children and toddlers! It's very engaging, truth be told! Learning should always be this much FUN, you know? ;o)The piano is well-made, uses three AAA batteries, and they do last a while. One nice feature is a auto shut off after three minutes to extend the life of the batteries. Other features include an array of songs to learn the proper keystrokes highlighted on the keyboard. The volume control has three steps and can be quite loud.Need I say more? This instrument is a must have!I'm SO glad we got this fun, educational tool.Highly recommended, and then some!By the way, this pocket piano makes for great gifts for kids of all ages for the upcoming holidays and birthdays! ;o)Give this FOKI Light up Kids Pocket Piano a try... I don't think you'll regret your purchase.***********************************************************May Your Autumn Be Full Of FUN! ;o)Cheerio and Best of Luck in all your endeavors! Hopefully, this review was helpful.

Cute, portable, but a little jank
In terms of size and weight, it’s great! Very small, very portable, very lightweight and easy to take anywhere. The issues however, are in the details. It’s not very responsive, so you can’t trill, you can’t really play songs, and as an instrument it’s kinda eh… definitely a really cute toy though. It’s cute that it has a bunch of random instrument functions, but again, because of the lack of responsiveness, it’s not super great for any of the instruments.A little annoying that it takes 3 AAA batteries, but I guess that’s also ok bc you can get rechargeable ones.Overall it’s a cute toy. I would recommend it as a portable baby toy, would not recommend it as an instrument.

Wish it had real keys
I was expecting this to have actual keys you could press on, but it's more of a touch screen? You can't compress the keys, nor run your finger over the entire scale and get a series of notes. They skip. The little one is still entertained, so I guess it is good enough. There's a few different modes - learning, playing music, etc. I wish the volume would stay at the previous setting instead of being SO SUPER LOUD when you turn it on. Oh, and interesting point -- my baby got her hands on it (I blame the pretty lights) and drooled on it, and the liquid pooled underneath the keys. It dried out but I don't recommend getting water on this...
