Q: when the chair is up to the maximum height , in overall how height is the chair?

The seat is 28 inches from the floor, the wood chair-back is 38 inches from the floor. My counters are 42 inches high and this works perfectly for me. I'm under 5 feet tall. I love mine. It compliments the wood cabinets and mixed color marble tops. Very comfortable especially with foot rest.
