I bought this file set to use on welding slag in horseshoe art. It gets to the tight hard to get areas to help clean up the artwork. I like how the set comes in a zip up carrying case. Appears to be a well built set.

Of course these are made in China so don't expect high quality machinist tools. But this set contains a big selection of files varying from very small to large.For basic home owner needs these are very adequate and inexpensive.

I tried several of the files (both the large and jewelers sizes) on some mild steel and they did a good job on it, about as expected... The files are solidly fit into handles that are comfortable to use. I did not try to take the handles off, but they looked like they would be removable to use on other files without to much trouble....I did a quick test of one of the rotary files and it did a pretty decent job of taking off material quickly - note that they have fairly large shanks, so need to be used w/ a drill or die grinder, they are to big for a Dremel tool.I don't know how durable these will be over years, but they are good while new.The Zipper case is reasonably nice and should be good for storing them.The sandpaper seems like nothing but a way to up the "piece count" on the set for the headline value... Nothing wrong with it, but a piece of sandpaper is not the same as a file... Also the sheets are smallish, and will NOT fit a typical 1/4 sheet pad sander. However the size selection is reasonable.

A nice complete set of files. I've already used this set quite a bit. None of the files are extremely aggressive, but they do well on metal edges.

This set has been great for my projects. While I’m not an expert on file quality, they seem to work just fine for what I need. The variety of sizes and types covers what I have needed so far, and having everything in a convenient case keeps them organized and easy to grab.

I ordered this 46 piece set of sharpening tools for my husband. He said it was exactly what he was looking for it covers a variety of usage from garden tools, to his wood working tools and and all the mechanical and house tools he has. All stored in a nice pouch. He said the handles are very comfortable to grasp. This is a must have for any homeowner. This would make a great gift and it's extremely affordable.

Great multi use file set. Comes with an assortment of shapes and sizes. Even included a package of wet/ dry sand paper. I like the handles on the large files have a hole in the handle so they can be hung up. Small files would be good for jewelry work, crafts, or any small jobs. I tried out 3 of the large files on a piece of rusted scrap metal. Metal was medium hard. Did a spot each with flat, triangle, and round (rat tail) file. Only took about 15-20 seconds with each to knock off the rust and shave off some of the weld. Used the included brush to clean off the files and get the rust out of the their teeth. Did a good job and very quickly. Overall a great set, very versatile. Comes with a zip up case, or like I mentioned you can hang the 4 large ones. Definetly recomend.

This set starts with the standard four large files with comfortable handles. It has the flat file, the triangular file, the round file, and the half round file. Then they throw in a bunch of other good stuff. There are 14 small files with small handles for hobby and tight space type work, five deburring tools for your electric drill, three grades of sandpaper, and finally, a small wire brush. And, it all is contained in a sturdy zippered case that seems quite capable of lasting as long as the files do.
