As one would expect from Global
Expensive, yes, but top quality. Magnet extremely powerful, and holds knives very firmly in place. Contrary to the answers to Questions asked in relation to this item, the knives do not sit on rubber protruding through the holes, and they don't slide down either. There is no rubber and the holes are purely decorative, and the black one sees behind them is the magnet. The outer frame is raised up by about a millimeter or so, and the blades sit on that.

I was worried that my knives would drop and damage the tip - No need this knife rack if very strong and would recommend it. Looks good too.

Global Knife Rack
The magnetic knife rack is a handy item if you spend a lot of time in the kitchen and have it placed handy to reach your constantly used knives. It is easy to mount to the wall and it has space for 5-8 knives, depending on blade size. The magnet is very strong and the rubber studs prevent scratching (cheaper racks often do not have any blade protection). It looks very stylish with Global knives; the only down side are the plastic covers with bold GLOBAL letters printed on. These really should only be black or stainless steel. The other slight down side is that one of the smaller global knives (GSF 33) has slid off the rack several times. The blade is too short and the handle to heavy so the knife has to be placed carefully. All other knives stick to it well though and I am enjoying it every day.
