used to be a bargain
These are losing market share to neoprene analogues. I don't have an opinion about that; these are all I've ever used and they work well. When I bought them, they were a relative bargain, but that opportunity seems to have been ephemeral. They now cost roughly twice what I paid, for which I dinged them a star. They probably grip and seal as well as ever, but the price may temp you to keep using them when they start gripping and sealing less well. They're not expensive, but they're no longer inexpensive.
