High quality heavy metal product that is absolutely necessary for doors that open inward on the same side the magnet is on.
Although it comes with no instructions, I was able to figure it out and it's a very high quality product. Instructions would've been nice because it's not obvious what needs to be done, but there's only one way it can work and if you think about it long enough, you'll get it together. It cost more than the magnet, but I can see why - it's a lot of carefully constructed thick metal. It's absolutely necessary if your door opens inward on the same side you have the magnet. The magnet goes above the door on the trim, and this bracket holds the armature plate. I had to mount a piece of wood to my door first that brought the mounting surface even with the trim that the magnet was on. The weight of this on my door loosened my door's hinges, but after tightening the screws on my hinges, everything lined up and has worked well for over a month now.

This should come with hardware
There is other hardware you need to attach the magnetic lock to this device and not the door. If I need even one nut that doesn't come in the original kit and i buy a different kit to attach it a different way, it should come with everything needed. Or, flat out say you will need to get other parts.

Got a good deal on returned item. Kit practically like new. Was missing parts list & mounting instructions. The seller did not respond to my email request for parts list & mounting instructions. Got some info online & was able to mount this & it works well.
