Super cool building set. Recommended ages are overly ambitious
This building set is pretty cool. The ball joints make a lot of different build types possible and I thought it would be a hit since my toddler loves cars and enjoys playing with his regular blocks. The recommended age range in the product description said ages 3 -12 and my toddler is 4. It turns out that age range is overly ambitious. My 4 year old finds putting these together difficult and basically just hands them over and demands we build stuff for him. I know he will get a ton of solo play enjoyment from this in a year or two but for now I am a little disappointed that this won't be one of the toys that will give me a few minutes to myself to get things done. While this toy is safe for the age range they state (provided your 3 or 4 year old isn't using toys as a chew toys) don't expect it to work out for solo play time as yonger kids can get frustrated by the challenging nature of the toy.The only other improvement I would like to see is a more detailed instruction guide for the builds they show in the insert. The insert is so small that it is impossible to see the details of which blocks go where to replicate it.Overall a good toy though and good value for what you get. I do recommend it but think ages 5 or 6 (depending on mechanical ability) will get the most enjoyment out of this.

Exciting and unique toy, different than others!
This is a pretty fun toy overall, with all of the items snapping together balls and hinges. If your kiddo is too young then it might be a little difficult but ours are getting their practice in at near 5 and 8 years and that seems to be working okay. 167 pieces seems like a good amount to make some fun projects. If they're working at the same time it might be insufficient but we will push for cooperation! Great alternative to expensive building blocks, generic or otherwise, though they share the same trait in that you will likely eventually find some on different floors of the house and step on them! Overall super happy with these, well priced at $25.99, plus a 15% coupon currently.

Exercises creativity but some hassle for toddler
These connecting joint pieces are great for exercising creativity and teaching colors, but for some toddlers, they might be pretty difficult to connect and disconnect. Which may lead more quickly to boredom. For now, my toddler thinks each joint piece with the golf ball end is a microphone and keeps singing into it lol definitely exercising creativity

Fun and easy to use
My daughter could not wait to use these. She had a lot of fun building things with them however she did get bored with them fairly quickly.

Unique, which is a good thing!
This will be a birthday present given in a few months, so bit far off for a "hands on" review. But I opened the box and looked at it. As someone with 67 years experience with kids stuff, and as a tinkerer and building myself, I love this set!Why?167 pieces offer plenty of variety in how they can be combined. The way they fit is different from most other snap-together building sets, which means a child has to expand his way of thinking, imagination, and manual dexterity skills beyond the usual. More can only be better in this regard. Kids lose and break parts--this seems built well enough that the breaking might not be an issue (maybe joints will loosen or fail eventually), and the losing is just one of those things that happens and this set won't stop that! The four year old this is for is a busy, busy little builder with quite a repertoire of such toys (he loves them all), and I can't wait to see what he does with this. He's starting to lose patience with the overly simple stuff, but this kit should pique his interest nicely. Finally, the price is decent.

hard to play by 3 year old themselves
It’s a big bag, and you can build many different designs with it. My baby is generally quite happy with this toy. The only downside is that since he’s only three years old, his strength might not be enough to connect the pieces tightly. As a result, he often needs my help to build various shapes like airplanes, trains, and so on.

Wonderful Building Set
This set of Joint building blocks is being used in a kindergarten classroom. It is a fantastic building set. The pieces are sturdy plastic and snap together easily. The 5 and 6 year old's have no problem at all putting them together and taking them apart. They love just putting then together randomly and exploring the different ways the connected pieces move and twist, especially when adding wheels. Later in their school careers when ball and socket joints in anatomy are introduced these kids will have had hands on experience with them! The picture models for things to build are a little complicated for most kindergartners but they love building their own creations. I recommend this set for "hands on" play!
