I have three daughters and dealt with many tutus and butterfly wings over the years. These soft wings absolutely sold this entire costume however I love the entire thing sold as a package. We picked up corded tights to go with the outfit. The sizing is slightly big for my 2 year old (orange theme), however, I was buying mainly for my 5 year old (purple theme) who was almost the same size as my 2 year old (slightly taller). It fits my 5 year old PERFECTLY. But I bought two because one cant have something without the other demanding it as well. We will be using these for Halloween! We love this outfit so much and cant recommend it enough!! The shipping was super fast too!

The colors of the wings are very vibrant, sure to please a young child. The tule skirt is thin and scratchy, so pants/shorts are a must. The barrettes are a cute addition and the headband antenna is great. The mask is soft and flexible, which I think works pretty well. You'll definitely want to secure the shoulder straps so the wings sit on the shoulders so the wings lay well. Note: the straps on the edge of the wings are supposed to go on the fingers; some kids could get the strap to a wrist or some modification could be made so the child doesn't have to have the strap on their fingers. There isn't any structure, but spreading arms can get the wings to "open" nicely.7/10 decent butterfly costume for little girls

Absolutely love the bright colors of this costume set; the skirt especially. The tule fabric of the skirt is sectioned by color, so there is a split between each color. The elastic waist band is like a satin material along with the ribbons on the front. The butterfly cape has a thin elastic band on each side to fit over the arms and there is a small elastic loop for a finger/thumb on the end of each wing. The headband is thin but the antenna are bendy and adjustable. The glasses are made of a felt material and not really soft, but not itchy either. There are 4 butterfly clips that can be used as barrettes. In all, a very good value for a colorful costume with several pieces.

This was given as a gift to a 5 year old.Pros: The colors are fun and bright. The mask and antennea seem well made, and the skirt is nice and fluffy. My daughter loves playing with it and wears it a lot.Cons: The wings don't have a seam on the edge of the fabric (it hasn't frayed yet or been a problem yet but it is a little bit of a concern for me that it will.) And the stretchy bands that go around the wrists are too tight for my (barely) 5 year old - she has to put them around a few fingers otherwise they pinch really tightly. She's a very small girl so this seems like a design flaw rather than a sizing issue.

I had ordered this for my daughter to play dress up with. She found that the set fit her quite well and it was comfortable for her, meaning that there was a little bit of room there for her to still grow into. This set is priced very well, and you are getting your monies worth. She hasn't destroyed it yet, but I expect that it will happen, especially with some of her rougher friends. I hope that this helps.
