Great replacement for OEM for Subaru Outback Wagon
My car is a 2001 Subaru Outback Wagon. Exedy confirmed this model would work fine in my car. The clutch was installed by a professional mechanic along with an Exedy lightweight flywheel. Everything fit fine and works well.Clutch takeup is like stock. During break-in, there was a little smell - more than I was expecting. I've driven for a couple/few months now. The smell went away pretty quickly and everything works great.I'd recommend to anyone looking for replacement clutch. Drivability is like stock, but you can drive harder without worries.

correct product...correct function
having ordered car parts on the web before i know that what you order is not always what you get. firstly, this was the correct kit, so thats good. secondly, it went in with no issues other then some typical wear and tear issues not at all related to the orderder product. good price too from what i could find. its only been in for a couple hundred miles and so far its holding up just fine, but its not really broken in as per manufacturer specifications, so after 500+ more miles ill try some launches on gravel and see how the clutch holds up...im thinking it'll be just fine and roast all four tires and throw dirt everywhere...which is just what this clutch kit should allow me to do!

spent more money, wrong cluth release bearing
Everything looked ok, but at the time of installation my mechanic told me i got the wrong cluth release bearing. I had to go to the dealership and buy it for 140 dollars. I spent more than expected and didnt return it bmechanichecause my wifw is about to have a baby and i need my vehicle ready. I drive a subaru legacy 2002 gt.

Clutch is great, I did feel the clutch hard at first ...
I have a 2007 Subaru Legacy I paired this clutch up with a Fidanza 110251 Flywheel, Aluminum.Clutch is great, I did feel the clutch hard at first but after 4 weeks it's almost like OEM almost I said.As for gripping the clutch does great at any rv's I give it, I don't have a lot of hp on my car but it sure does feel like it, it could also be because of the lighter flywheel. I feel that the clutch pedal shorter at engaging which i had to get use to, but no complains even my wife figure it out and loves the change.

Works great in a 2003 Subaru Baja
Using the clutch in a 2003 Subaru Baja along with theĀ ACT 600705 XACT Streetlite Flywheel . Didn't end up using the pilot or release bearings, though. The release bearing is designed for the original Subaru transmission snout, but I have a repair sleeve on there, requiring an oversized bearing. I ordered an original Subaru pilot bearing, so didn't end up using the one that came with it. Feels much more fun to drive, but don't have too much to compare against, since the old clutch and flywheel were completely worn out.

Perfect, but had been opened before.
Clutch was perfect, only reason for 3 stars was that the box had been opened before I got it and there were some dirty finger prints inside the box for the disc. Had to double check all the numbers to make sure they were correct for the kit. All components were in perfect condition though. Would just liked to have been informed that the part had been returned previously. Never tried to contact the sender as there was no need.

Grips hard like I wanted. Perfect
2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5ts with 120,000 miles. Stock Clutch slipped HORRIBLY. Bought this because I wanted a really grippy clutch. Took the engine out to do the usual headgaskets/timing belt/etc. Did the clutch and flywheel too. Paired it with a Orielly's Auto flywheel which is a few pounds lighter than stock. After the 500 mile break in period for the new clutch I can shift as fast as I can when doing WOT pulls and it grabs HARD just like I wanted. Clutch feel is very good. Not too heavy or light. Perfect. 5/5

Great bank-for-your-buck!
Old clutch on my '99 Legacy 2.5GT was slipping pretty bad at ~164k miles. I decided to replace it with this "Exedy Organic Stage 1 Racing Clutch" because all the reviews were good and the mechanic that put it in recommended them as well. I did a lot of driving this month, and put a quick 1k miles on it within the first week of having it and went super easy on it.To be honest, it was actually a little disappointing driving at first because I thought it would feel "so different" than stock! Not so! It feels EXACTLY like stock when you drive it normal! My wife was even able to drive it smoothly without having to relearn a new engagement point. Drop the clutch at ~4.5k RPM and this will whip your head back if you're not ready for it!Side Note: I would recommend replacing the slave cylinder and replacing the transmission fluid if you're doing a high mileage replacement. My clutch pedal started to drop really low and stick to the "down" position (right before engagement) because the slave cylinder would stick when the tranny heated up.**3/12/2013 - Update**I've put 20,000+ miles on the clutch change now and it still bites HARD. Slave cylinder swap (described in my comments above) did the trick for making the engagement point stay consistent this whole time. Excellent purchase and would HIGHLY recommend for anyone considering replacing their clutch for their 1999 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT!
