Bought this remote to control my Sony HDD machine. The old one was worn out. Unlike the picture, it's black not grey. 'Can't believe I just had to unpack it, install the batteries and 'hey presto' it works. Great! Really pleased with the price as well.

Excellent replacement for Sony RMTD259
This is a perfect replacement to my Sony RMTD259 which began to fail only 14 months after purchase. Compared with £35 for a branded replacement this is a great substitute. It works straight out of the box and the only slight niggle is that I can't get the volume control to work but I can live with that and it may just be something I'm doing wrong.
