For an item like this that will be used daily, with body weight, legs, and arms being strewn on it, this ballet bar is well-made and of excellent quality.Keep in mind the bar is 3 ft (one yard), so it's good for personal use, not just in a studio. plus - the density and weight of the bar itself will require a solid installation. once mounted, the anchors allow for the angle of the bar to be adjusted. This helps us a lot seeing four out of seven people in our family are dancers (the position adjusts to the height of everyone using it).The finish of the barre itself prevents splinters or injuries, including the ends, which have a nice round smooth end. Definitely a must if you like to dance or even stretch/tone your legs after a workout. Great bar!

This ballet bar looks and functions great. In a way, there are really only three height settings, since in my opinion, the bar isn't really usable when it is all the way up or all the way down, the bar is too close to the wall. You can get your heel on it, but it is small. I suppose if you added spacers between the bracket and the wally, then you could use it in all five positions. The three positions in the middle give about 8.5 inches of adjustment between them. If you can use all five positions the adjustment is about 13.5 inches between highest and lowest.The hardware is very strong and well made. The bar looks and feels very nice. The length is not adjustable because the ends of the bar are tapered down to fit into the end pieces. The hardware is spaced 32 inches apart which should fit a typical stud layout and should allow installation directly into the studs in most situations. We are very happy with this bar.

This is a nice, solid wood barre bar that is height adjustable, it just wasn't height adjustable enough for me nor could it handle some of the full body weight lift exercises I perform. I ended up getting a freestanding barre bar and I put this one in my daughter's room. It is much better suited for her use.

(Before I start, I wanted to state that I am not a ballerina, or someone who has done a lot of ballet, or even barre exercises - though I have always wanted to! I am just now getting the chance and was thrilled to have stumbled across this. But I DO know quality when I see it, and have also been looking for a bar for some time now).I have not had this installed as of yet, and it may be a while before it gets put up, but I must say, looking this over, I am very, very impressed. The quality is top notch in every aspect. It’s made of high quality materials all the way around, and extremely well made. The hardware given to install it is solid - you do not need to worry about it coming out of the wall (you’re going to want to put it into a stud if you can, though. But they do give you the right stuff to install it with!). The wood on the bar is truly sanded so smoothly and finished as you would expect it to be (I can’t tell you how many things I get where they say the wood is smooth, and it’s far from it. Not the case here - it’s perfect!). I can’t say enough good about this. It exceeded my expectations beyond what I was hoping for. Highly recommended!! (Once up, if something changes, I will update - but I sincerely doubt it. Excellent product!)

I installed this bar in my daughter's room and stretching has become one of her favorite things to do thanks to it. The adjustability was a key feature given that my daughter continues to grow very quickly and increase her flexibility, so I won't have to keep installing the bar higher to make it useful. I made the mistake of trusting the included anchors initially (instead of mounting directly to studs) and the drywall just couldn't support enough weight. Very good product overall.
