Metal chains are nice, and the coloring doesn't come off when you work with them or scratch at them. As stated, you can cut the chain in between the round beads to customize the length. The plastic clips do look plastic, with coloring that is consistent throughout each clip and, aside from two, a smooth surface for each. The closing ability of the clip is in between light and medium. Some of the colors of the clips are more opaque than others, but, in my opinion, all the clips are less opaque in person than in the posting's images.I love the metal chains, and I especially see the plastic clips as being suitable for fun, colorful crafting and key ring designs or for kids' crafting. This is a great set to start or add to a crafting kit at this price.I received:Metal Rings: 3 light, 8 medium, 1 dark blue; 3 orange; 6 medium, 5 dark purple; 8 pink; 10 yellow; 7 red. I do not like them. They are very cheaply made. The chains don't really match the clips. Some chains are broken. There are more chains of some colors than there are clips of that color. Some clip colors don't have chains to match. Not happy with them.
