I am guessing the price of these ($45 at the time of this rating) has more to do with the novelty than the quality. They are average quality. Silky and cool - which my boyfriend LOVES. So I guess it is more about preference.I got these for my boyfriend's birthday. I always call him my Favorite Viking. He has that "look" I guess owning to his family's Nordic ancestry. He is really into this background and has tattoos around this history - SO these sheets were so perfect. He loves them.I would definitely recommend them - not really any drawbacks beyond the price.

This is like a microfiber type of sheet set. The material is very soft and comes out of the packaging ready to use. Some sheets you have to wash first to get them to soften up but these are very soft right away. The Nordic print is very clear and precise. There is no blurring of the print. It is crisp. My son loves this set in his room. We're considering getting the comforter to match. The pillowcases are more like sham covers. The opening is in the back rather than on the side like a standard pillow case.

So let me start by saying that I am not a bedsheet expert. I really don't know anything about thread count or different fabrics but what I do know is whether I like laying on them or having them cover me while I sleep and I can honestly say that they do make me comfortable.One of my initial concerns was how much material was in the lint basket upon first washing, not to mention the little thread fibers on my clothes! It's still a little early to say but after the first washing there is very little material in the lint basket and to me that indicates they will probably last a while.One of the things that I both like and dislike is the design of the pillow cases. What I like is they are the type where you kind of fold the pillow into them and it overlaps itself when the pillow is inserted, so no open ends for the pillow case to slip off for you restless sleepers. The part that I don't necessarily like is that only the top half of the pillow case is in whatever style you choose, the bottom half is white. You can actually see this in the pictures, I just missed it.Overall I really like the sheets, I like the way that they feel and they seem to keep me comfortable at night, I just wonder if I couldn't have found something better at a $40 price point. Oh and if you do decide to get these, be sure to wash them by themselves for the first wash or you might be like me and pulling little white thread fibers off of you black pants!

I love this sheet set, fitted and flat sheet with two pillow shams, they are very cool and soft, keeps my cool at night while sleeping, they fit the queen size mattress very well and tight which I love, they are a great price for what you get and look amazing, great quality

The design is everything. These are not scratchy. You can see the design. It hasn't chipped off or faded with a wash or dryer session. It really is as advertised. I already ordered two other designs!!
