Astonish C1606 750ml Engine Degreaser

I've given this a 5-star rating because one bottle at the cost of £1.68 has thoroughly cleaned 3 engines to a very high level.I usually use Gunk and have done for years but at about £5.50 for 1 litre this Astonish is much better value at just over £2 per litre.I work in the car trade so clean more then my fair share of engines and the Astonish matches the Gunk in every respect when it comes to cleaning performance. The Astonish also doesn't have that awful lingering smell that the Gunk has and leaves no residue on the surfaces cleaned.All in all, the Astonish is battling well above its weight and I was so impressed with my fist bottle that I immediately bought another four. I've also bought a bottle of the glass cleaner as well to see how that compares with my usual products.A great product that's a pleasure to use ... I was very pleasantly surprised.My advice ... buy some. It's only £1.68 ... try it on your car, your cooker or your roasting tins!

very good product !! i used to clean my bike chain and component's and work perfect just follow the product user guide at the back of the bottle and w'll be ok.leave to product to act at least 5 minutes and then rinse strogly .the delivery was fast ( 3 days) and the packaging was made carefully.Only negative things is that the prduct is maybe a bit too liguid and tends to drip but maybe i used too much at once

This is versatile, and doesn’t take the skin off your hands. I use it on stainless steel pots to remove grease/protein rainbow stains

Very effective at removing grease, but it being so aggressive means you have to be mindful of what you're spraying it on. With the amount of painted surfaces, plastics and rubbers in most engine bays these days, that's a bit problematic. The spray head broke on mine after about half the bottle was used, too. Overall, good performance for the price, but I think I might try something 'softer' next time.

I must admit that I thought this product was simply too good to be true with such a bargain price, but the other reviews influenced me to buy a bottle. I used it with excellent effect to the engine bay of a 'car of the 1970's' I own plus various other grimy bits on the same vehicle, and was well pleased. I then used it to clean my mountain bike chain and gears and it brought them back to 'new' condition. I've yet to try it on the oven..........Highly recommended and I would be interested to see what other products are in the range.

Worst degreaser I've ever used. Will stick to gunk in the future.

Volvo V70 1998Bought 3 bottles of this, to use on a engine bay tidy up. After having used it on grease and found it works well.There was a few warnings about use but none about alloy wheels so I tried it out on my spare wheel first, worked a treat so now cleaning all wheels prior to a bit of a spray touch up......good stuff but ware rubber gloves and goggles to be safe..... enjoy using KimUpdatesJust bought 5 more of these...I know I have reviewed before...but found a couple more excellent uses ..Have a T-shirt with lots of cooking oil spots down the front, went through a couple of washes but never came out .Was going to throw it out ,when I thought I would give the cleaner spray a go ,nothing risked??Sprayed plenty on spots and rubbed in ,then threw it in with the 30* wash. Blooming heck came out all clean, Carpet spots all brilliant. Going on a spot cleaning spree!!!!!!! But need at least two bottles. One is not enough. Need at least 2 bottles if you use it first time.

Efficace sur pièce indépendante mais dangereux sous le capot pour la peinture et les flexibles que l'on ne sait pas préserver des projections. De plus, il faut rincer le tout à l'eau claire. Merci ^pur le carrelage du garage.
