Q: What type of pen or marker will fit in the slots?

Any ball point pen, or fine point sharpie. I’ve used the chalk markers from Madame Sew also. This ruler is awesome.

Q: Is this correct that it ships in 1 to 2 months? Do they mean days?

I ship the same day Monday through Friday if you order before noon next day if you order after noon.

Q: is this ruler transparent, (can I see through it) and can I use it as a cutting guide for my rotary cutter or do I draw lines then cut after removing

This ruler is see-through and has cut-away slits at 4-corners for 2-additional sizes besides the size of the 15 1/2" square. I found it very helpful when making my first T-shirt quilt.
