My vac (or vax) came in darker blue color but not that I care, it's a vaccum after all. But it sucks, and in a good way, this things is very powerful, cleans well and for carpets or rug it works wonders. Very pleased with it. Only part I am not so thrilled about after having used it for a while:1. there is no way to attach or keep the accessories together2. the end of the vac gets stuck to tile because there is so much power.. minor issue

Fantastic vacuum cleaner.I was looking for a new vacuum cleaner at around £60 - £70. I've been using Henry for the past 6 years and it had finally given up the ghost. I found it really heavy and cumbersome to drag around the house, also the bags didn't come cheap.So, I was kind of relieved when it died on me. My new Vax is amazing - it's incredibly lightweight, small enough to sit on a stair step, good price, a known brand, fantastic suction and the best of all, no bags. The cylinder is so simple and easy to empty.After using this vacuum. My carpets look so much cleaner. I've got cats and it seems to suck up the cat hairs embedded in the carpet easily. I can't recommend this vacuum enough. It's powerful yet small enough to pack away. Great.

It's very neat, lightweight, easy to carry vacuum. It has powerful suction that picks up dust very well, with no issues concerning blocked hose. Hepa filter prevents dust escaping back into the room well. The dust canister is easy to empty and clean. Filters easy to remove, clean and replace. The running noise is low. Spare filters available from Amazon. It has a 2yr warranty. In these respects, it a very good vacuum cleaner. Just what I would expect from Vax, and for this it gets *****However, it's difficult to use on laminate (I don't have carpet, so can't comment on it's use there), because of the poor design of the brush head, the suction sticks the brush head to the floor, making it difficult to hoover with ease. Opening the vent on the plastic hose only partially helps ease this. Also, the brush head and accessories are not good quality: The brush head scrapes across the floor, I'm concerned that it will scratch the laminate), because the bristles on it are stiff and barely longer that the plastic part of the brush, and the upholstery brush scrapes across the upholstery rather than brushing it (again, concerns that it will damage the fabric over time), because the red material part is no higher than the plastic rim. Also have concerns about how long the clasp will last on the dust canister, as it needs a bit of force to click it into place and it doesn't seem to be very robust. For this it gets only *.Note: I have purchased a different brush head (FIND A SPARE Floor Head Brush Tool 35mm for Miele, Shark, Vax.... £9.99), which has a groove running across the underneath part of the brush head, allowing some air flow), and a different upholstery brush (Upholstery Brush For Vax Pet All Terrain....£3.94), and this has completely resolved these issues.This is a great little vacuum cleaner, but am disappointed that Vax have provided such poor quality tools to go with it.

I'm a single man living alone in his humble abode. No maid nor companion to call upon for the household chores.Not that I'm a fan of doing the hoovering, but I do want to maintain some cleanliness in case the odd fair lady pays a visit, and this little thing is just perfect to turn my cave into something a little more "homely".Powerful suction - never mind those naysayers complaining it's too powerful - they're obviously not aware that this can be adjusted via the little slider on the hose.And the other common complaint - "oh the hose is too short"; well if it's any longer than it won't be as portable, would it? It's light weight and has wheels, so drag it with you for Pete's sake.Last but not least, the retractable cord is just a neat little touch. My carpets feel like new and the air in my room feels fresh. Ahhh ☺️

Very lightweight and compact but still holds lots. However, I noticed twice that small little things like kids toys got sucked up and then became dislodged, so I had to stop hoovering and try and remove it myself. Whereas my old Dyson would have just kept going. Having said that though the suction is very strong and emptying the chamber is nice and easy also. I am happy with my purchase I just need to lift small toys etc before hoovering.

Most of the reviews are great on this hoover, the bad reviews mainly say that a) the suction is too strong and b) the hose is too short.My initial thoughts... 'How can suction be too strong ?!?!' but it's quite a workout when hoovering :-PThere is a 'switch' that you can slide up or down on the hose to control suction which makes the hoover perfect. I would say the hose is on the small side but the hoover is so light weight that should you need to, you can simply pick up the hoover as it's very light.I love the attachments that come with it too. I've hoovered my whole entire house today including blinds, upholstery, laminate, lino, carpet, leather sofas and it's been a JOY!!!SO grateful for this hoover !!!I don't usually leave reviews but when in was considering purchasing this hoover, the reviews helped a lot, so I thought I'd contribute.

I was looking for a vacuum for less than £100 that would be value for money and be a damn good vacuum cleaner. I was influenced by the VAX brand and some of the reviews I read on here.I've had it for a couple of months and it's a waste of time. I was forever taking it apart to unblock the mechanisms that got clogged up with my dog's fur, but even when cleared the pick up/suction is pitiful. It won't even pick up dog hair off the tiled kitchen floor. I give up with it. If anyone wants it, they can come and collect from me for free, otherwise it's going to waste more of my time and money than it already has when I take it to the tip.
