Early Perspectives on Travel
Interesting process with the work and attitudes of some players seemingly at tangential odds with the BIG main character, if you will, in the story. The fact that it's the first book gives me much to look forward to! (Almost said "volume," there instead of "book," but that's not quite fair; it's actually a strangely quick read, and everybody's very busy. Never a dull moment here!) After some of the set-ups in a very fertile Book 1, you might reasonably expect a lot of cross-germination in Book 2.

Looking forward to the next installment
Good read, but as I saw in other reviews, there are a lot of editorial and grammatical issues. That being said, it was a good, fast read. Looking forward to the next book.

Sci-fi, spies, treasure hunters and Armageddon, oh my!
I read about two books per week. (Don't watch tv or play on the internet.) Best book I have read since The Expanse series. Good characters, intriguing plot line, or it will be when I figure it out. I have no doubt that what I think it is will be twisted in the end. Do you yourself a favor and start on a Friday, so you we will have Sunday open.

The Meteor
This book seemed to be written by one of my former students. I was lost by the book. It may end up being a great book but it seemed to be written in a written with no purpose.

confusing
It jumps back-and-forth too much. Leaves you wanting more before it jumps again. Need to understandit all better. Good writing but too many questions for the reader to have a firm grip on this story.

An excellent sci-fi thriller
The Meteor is a Douglas Preston-esque sci-fi thriller about a mysterious object in space on a collision course with earth, but it doesn't behave like any known celestial object. Masterfully interwoven with real events, it reads as much like non-fiction book as a thriller. The book sets up future events superbly, pitting global powers against each other. I can't wait for the next book!!!!

The Meteor
While this book was certainly interesting, it left a lot of mystery. That has to be resolved in another book. I hope the next in the series is available.

Interesting story
Good premise and well executed. The story flows well. It appears to be one of a series. I was hoping for a stand alone book with a conclusion. This is open ended. I would be reading the next book when it becomes available.

Good but needs work
This is a good book but it's a little hard to read sometimes. There are a number of content mistakes (like a person using a welder to remove a metal part....welders put metal together, a torch or saw removes them). Grammar and sentence structure needs work (the end of one sentence reads..."...a dozen or two months.")I'd recommend this book.

Warning...It's a Series, not a stand alone book.
Arhhh...I didn't know this was the first in a series so frustratingly it doesn't end: readers are left abruptly hanging with absolutely none of the subplots ending. I wish Kindle would identify this as "Book 1". If they'd done that I wouldn't be as totally disappointed as I was at "the end". The book isn't too bad, but it takes quite a while to get going as it progressively introduces a number of seemingly unrelated characters and events that, at around half way through, come into their respective places. Will I buy the next in the series? Nah, I'm sure that one won't end either as it'll prob lead to book 3 and perhaps further iterations.

The Meteor.
I certainly hope there is a follow up to this opening novel. I've been left on a cliff hanger! More please Mr Calvert.🙂
