Seemed like a good quality product, it just would work for my application, but the cable and ends looked high quality

JESWO HDMI Male to USB-C Female Cable Adapter
So this is a good lower cost solution for AR glasses that require a HDMI TO USB-C.A simple cable won't do, nor will a USB-C TO HDMI.You must have a start with HDMI and very few things are sold at a reasonable price for this. But this does work, and it works well, for me at least.I plugged it into my HDMI slot in my video card, and the micro USB into the adapter and then the other end into a free USB-A slot.Once that is done, all that was necessary was to go into windows and set it to multiple monitor.

Served the purpose for a month.
Update: Appears to have stopped working. Tested it with three different machines. The OS recognizes the display, but it seems to be continually resetting as the display keeps getting removed and added.Tested this with a relatively modern HDMI source to a portable monitor at 4K 60Hz with audio. Worked without issue except once where I had to reseat the Type-C cable in the portable monitor in order for it to pick up. Neither FreeSync nor VRR was not said to be supported by AMD's Windows software when using this adapter. However, I'm not sure if that's a limitation of the adapter or the monitor's Type-C interface. VRR is reported to be supported when using the monitor's HDMI port.Ordered this so I could use a portable monitor with another computer as its sole mini-HDMI port is being used by another. Most of these adapters follow the same form factor with a power port on the side. I'm not sure this offers much of an advantage over an integrated cable and the choice of a microUSB port seems suspect in the modern Type-C world.Considering amazon prime convenience, price is okay. Fairly certain I saw a cheaper, somehow, more generic version of this on a budget focused site, but most were in the $20-$40 range(2024).

Did not work for me
Either this is incompatible with my devices, or I received a defective one; either way I’m a little disappointed with the product. It LOOKS high quality but did not perform.

Works good
Had some random issues with it early on but I resolved them and this works flawlessy now! The picture is good and the latency isn't bad either

FINALLY
Finally I have an HDMI to USB C connector that works. I've tried multiple different ones and they have not worked. I just wish it was a cable and not a connector. Oh well, it works!

Good but why micro B?
This works as expected for video so it makes the mark for the value range that it's going for. It goes the OPPOSITE direction of most adapters, taking an HDMI signal at 4K at 1080P and pushing it through a USB connection.First problem for me is that the edges are pretty sharp on the sides which makes for scratched items in a small gear bag, or in a backpack pouch, so either tape them off or isolate this adapter to prevent destroyed finishes on other items. That's so annoying. The second part is that it uses USB B MICRO today in 2024. Not only is that limited to 15w, meaning no power delivery, but who carries those these days? I am so much less likely to carry this item when everything now is USB C.I can definitely RECOMMEND this item because it does what it says and doesn't claim to do more, but USB B with no power delivery spec make it so much less useful going into the future.
