The knife is drop free smooth due to the bearings, easy to open with the front flipper and hole, and has great fit and finish(came shaving sharp and centered). It feels lightweight and carries well due to the quality milled pocket clip and thin frame. The materials, build quality and fit and finish definitely justify its price range.

I greatly appreciate how light it is while still holding up well to daily tasks when I handle freight at work. Cuts well still no need for sharpening yet and I barely feel it in my pockets while wearing loose fitting baggy pants.

The varatas is a beautiful knife... has great action and its super sharp which I found out the dumb way... plus it's super light weight.if you get a chance to pick one up do it... you won't regret it

Awesome knife! Kizer's fit and finish on this knife is fantastic! S35VN takes a wicked edge without being stuck on the stones for hours providing you using sharpening equipment circa this current era! I stop at a 600 dimond and strop it on leather with 1 micron dimond compound. Light blade but still falls shut with the tiniest bit of effort. I carry it all the time. My only knock is the pocket clip. It isn't suited for all types of pants. Lightweight pants you will probably need two hands to getting it clip to your pocket possibly. I'm not sure what the coating is but it will show wear with hard use so if you don't mind your experience on the blade then get black version but if you do get the none black version. This is my second Kizer and there will definitely be more in my future collection.

Beautiful knife and great action. Unfortunately, I can't give it more than 1 star. Large deep scratch on the blade and machining marks on the captive pivot. At this price, it shouldn't happen. Will return and hopefully order another because I really do love the design.
