In the past we always seem to end up using moving blankets. Usually acquired "somehow". This is a much more robust sound absorbing blanket than the old moving blankets. The material is very heavy duty with a nice way of hanging them from some loops on the top. Something old school moving blanket didn't have. I would have to staple or nail them up! This is much easier for sure. And the size is a REALISTIC size 70" X 80". So these puppies are very heavy indeed. You still will need a few more than just 2. So just plan a buying at least 4 or more.As far as sound absorbing, it's safe to assume they are at least as absorbent as the old standby moving blankets. So if that suited you, then these will do a bit better then that. Don't expect it to create silence in the next room, or stop the neighbors complaining. They are more to "mute" and dampen the sound. But they are a nice quality and you no doubt will also think so .

I ordered four of these. None of them reached 80 inches and strangely, one of the four is longer than the other three. Other than that, they seem well made. Quite heavy. I just wish they were all the same length.

These are definitely some very nice quality and effective sound deadening blankets! They are well made and have made a big difference to dampen the sound reflections in my music room. I like that they have many grommets which made it easier and more secure to suspend and support them to hang from the ceiling. Overall, I am very pleased with this product, so I would not hesitate to recommend it!

These are basically like large moving blankets. I've not priced moving blankets, so I don't know if the $83 price tag for two is high or not. Of course, moving blankets don't usually come with grommets and loops for hanging, so...The blankets seem to be of quality construction with strong seams and quilting. They are nice and thick and definitely do a decent job of dampening sound. The advantage of having a few of this type of blanket in your recording environment is that they can be easily moved around and put to use in spontaneous situations (we needed to bring in some additional gear for a recent YouTube shoot and being able to toss a blanket over them so they would not contribute to echo/reflection was handy.Overall happy with this product and would recommend them as supplemental sound dampening.

I bought these to go over a door between 2 bedrooms. They are about 2 ft shorter than the door. And even with one on each side, it isn't as quiet as I hoped. Maybe the correct length would make a difference.

I bought this set of soundproofing panels to cover a window and a door. The hanging strap loops are only on one side, and that is the 80" side - so they are useless for hanging over the door. Great over the window!They are very well made and heavy. A huge step up from the Harbor Freight moving blankets I was using.

These are great and definitely large in size (80" x 72", and there's two!) There's absolutely many different things you can do with these. For us, since this blanket can be hung, we use them along the wall behind our studio monitors, and it works great.Additionally, sometimes we use this type of blanket over really loud speaker cabinets while they are mic'd up.Love them, can't beat the price, especially for this size!

These sound dampening blankets are definitely large in size. We hang one in my blind/ autistic son's room, to go along with the sounds dampening panels that we had put on his walls. He tends to have meltdowns in his room and thought that the sound dampening would help as well of the thickness over the window would help prevent the window from breaking if he threw something. It also provides great room darkening. This helps let my son's puppy sleep beyond sunrise, which helps with my sleeping efforts. It is very heavy, so you need to make sure it's on a heavyweight window rod. When I went to open the first banket to hang, I noticed one of the loops with grommet had already fallen off. This was very disappointing, since I wasn't able to hang it properly without it. Thankfully the other blanket was in tact. But makes me worry about the quality of this one hanging long term. This is a fabulous concept , but seems like they better look into their quality control.
