This stroller is the jam. This is our third stroller in our collection and I don’t know how we ever traveled without it. For example, we recently flew cross country to Seattle for a wedding. We visited the Space Needle and were able to store this stroller in a LOCKER! We also went on a boat cruise where I was able to fold up the stroller and throw it over my shoulder like a large purse while walking up the dock and never even stopping. Steps from 1st Ave to the waterfront? - fold it up! Small, crowded restaurant with little floor space?- fold it up! Sprinting down stairs to catch a train to the airport at 6AM? - Fold it up! We ended up gate checking it each flight because why not - but it could have easily fit in the overhead. I immediately texted all of my friends with small humans and recommended it when I got home. Splurge — just do it. And then fold it up.

Built to last
Now that we've got a new grand-niece to take care of we found ourselves in need of a new stroller, so when I had the opportunity to order the YOYO3 from Stokke you can say I was Stokke'd! We've ordered other Stokke products in the past as baby gifts for others in the family - they're incredibly good, and their products have a great ecosystem of accessories and interoperability. The YOYO3 is everything we expect from Stokke. It's a lightweight 13.6 lbs, grows with your child (from 6 mo up to 48 lbs), folds up small enough to fit in an airplane overhead, adjusts from seated to 45 degree recline, and has all the safety features you can ask for. It includes the YOYO3 frame, storage/travel bag, 5 point harness, shoulder strap, and the YOYO 6+ "Color Pack" that adds the aqua padded seat cushion, canopy with viewing window and vent, and zippered back pocket. The stroller has a lower storage area that will hold an additional 22lbs of stuff but it's narrow enough that you might be challenged fitting stuff down there. Some assembly was required. It went together easy enough but the English instructions weren't very clear and the 'pic-lish' instruction section was decent but things like strap attachment points could have been depicted more clearly. I'd like to say it was quick but I spent at least 15 minutes just getting the seat installed and another 15 minutes figuring out how to get the color pack into place. It folds very compactly but I have to say it took considerably longer than "in a flash". Once you learn the trick folding is easy enough - release the red handled lock then lift by the chrome bar - but it will take some practice. Unfolding is much easier - just release the plastic latch at the base, lift it quickly by the padded handle, and it unfolds like magic. Once again the instructions could have been clearer but once you figure it out it's like an 'ah-ha!' moment. The stroller has a huge constellation of optional accessories including a "newborn pack" that allows it to be used from 0-6mo, car seat adapters, "sibling boards" for older kids, a leg rest, parasol, cup holder, mosquito netting, backpack, rain cover, shopping bag, skis, a "footmuff" and mittens. In addition to the stroller, we also ordered the optional rain cover because this is something we can use immediately as we go into the rainy season, and also ordered a leg rest.Almost every other stroller comes with one, yet with the YOYO3 it's a $40 add-on and is only available in black. On a $450 stroller (current price on Amazon) that really feels like nickel and diming the customer. The plastic bit should have come with the stroller, and the cover should have been part of the color pack.
