pretty solid looking mount
Bought this for my new Remington 700 - long action. fits perfectly! looks pretty well made and all at a decent price. Glad I didn't go uber expensive and glad I didn't go no name cheap! Highly recommended.

This added an 1/8 of an inch that I did not want. Very solid bases.
I ordered this base for my Rem 700 (30-06). I also ordered a two piece set. The scope is a Vortex Strike Eagle with a 56mm lens. This base added an 1/8 of an inch that I did not want and did not need so I returned them with no problems. It appeared to be very well made and solid piece. I rated it high because of the quality and appearance, although it was not for me.

Exactly what it says it is
I bought this rail for a Sauer 100, which uses Rem 700 mounts. It fits perfectly, came with all the necessary screws, and was properly machined and drilled...it is perfectly square when mounted. In other words, it is what it says it is, which is becomming less common these days. I recommend this product.

Get one while you can!
Good quality product and the price is significantly less than EGW charges on their website! This fit perfect on my 280 Remington model 725. Comes with 5 screws and a torx tip which would cost you a extra $4 on EGW's website. Do yourself a favor and get one while you can.

Looks great
Maybe my childhood rem 700 30-06 is too old.Or may e Remington changed mounting holes, but this doesn't line up with the rear mounting hole. Front two holes line up though.

Does NOT fit a Remington 700 Long Action
The screws do not fit the factory pre drilled receiver. Despite being clearly advertised, and packaging marked for Rem 700 LA it clearly is not. I’m both apprentice served, factory qualified, worked on firearms for 30 years. Screws are probably for SA receiver (I haven’t physically checked), holes in your rail will not take the correct size screws (8-40). The rail itself is correct for size and fit it just cannot be secured without enlarging holes in rail and sourcing correct dimension screws. Total waste of time and effort. Would NOT recommend this company.
