First Mod I purchased for my E46. I installed this in conjunction with Mishimoto's silicone intake boots to complement the upgraded intake and to serve as preventative maintenance. The install was only delayed from the tricky positioning of the worm drive clamps on the old boots when I was trying to remove them, a step that is only necessary when you're upgrading or replacing those too. I did have to force the filter over the elbow before connecting it to the existing MAF sensor in order for it to fit behind my headlights which didn't seem right but that might have been a result of the upgraded silicone intake boots. Overall the car felt slightly more responsive and it gave the engine a slightly louder roar when the pedal is depressed. It also gave the car a slight turbo like whistle from all the air being sucked into the intake every time you accelerate. Driven daily for about a month now with no problems and i'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. Side note: If anyone is curious, as I was, temperatures behind the intake's shield are noticeably cooler than those in the engine bay even after aggressive driving.

The media could not be loaded. This intake is exactly as advertised, you get sent all the parts and hardware you need as well as some promotional material. Installation took about an hour, (a little longer than expected) because of the silicone tube being a VERY tight fit onto the MAF and taking a bit of elbow grease to bend it around and push it on.Other than that, the car sounds great and has a noticeable increase in torque and overall speed, possibly more than what is advertised.Sadly there was no paper instructions included but there are guides online published by Mishimoto for this exact kit.There are some notes of the air filter fitting a bit tight in the engine bay and having to be bent against the headlight to fit correctly but by turning the silicone pipe and the filter a small amount after being installed, I was able to easily make it fit without any contact to the car or bending.Based on my first impressions, I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has the money for a quality cold air intake or is looking to freshen up the feel of their car.

it works well and looks good, the only issue I have with it is it is a little too long and the filter gets pressed up against the front of the engine bay and to get it in and out you have to bend the filter a little but other then that I’m happy with it
