Here's the deal- "Chai" means tea. Nowhere on the box does this claim to be "masala chai" which is the traditional Indian milk tea. So folks who are moaning about this not being like their native drink---It does not claim to be. (Besides every recipe is different.) This simply calls itself- tea. And it is AMAZING tea. Lots of boxed chai is too sweet for me, sickeningly sweet. So I get the unsweetened Bhakti Chai so I can make it to my preference. This is spicy. Fresh pressed ginger- yum! And so good for your belly. The description on the box says "organic fresh pressed ginger, fiery spices and antioxidant rich black tea. Fragrant cardamom and exotic spices heat you up from the inside...." Again says right on the box you will get spice and heat. Just lovely.

I love the fact that I can get these on my Subscribe & Save. The concentrate allows you to make it as strong as you like. These are unsweetened, which is my preference, even though my local Costco is now selling a chai concentrate but the sugar content is a no-go for me.If you appreciate the back of the throat warmth that real ginger gives you, you will love this product. Delicious chai every time! I simply add it to a glass with ice and almond milk…sometimes a pump sugar vanilla. Perfection!

I would buy this again. It's pretty close to real chai compared to other concentrates and it has no sugar which means I can add my own maple syrup/honey or refrain from adding sugar. I wish it had a bit more of a kick to it when it comes to the spice, but overall it's the closest I've come to the real deal with a concentrate.

You can taste ginger and there's a strong spiciness, which I do like. But that's pretty much where the flavors end. I'll probably finish the container, since I don't completely HATE it. But would I buy again? Definitely not. If I had another unsweetened chai mix that was easy to go buy, there's a strong chance I wouldn't actually finish it. The three stars might be a little generous. If you like a ginger tea, you might appreciate this more. I like the interplay of all the spices, which this seems to lack.

I've had chai every day for the last 20 years. I make my own chai mostly and once in a while I use ready to drink chai packets. I'm from India and I know what Chai tastes like. This is NOT chai. This product is an example of what happens when someone decides to go to India, has some Chai, comes back to America and thinks "Hmm, I could make a bunch of money selling this to Americans who have no idea what chai tastes like". This is what this product is. I usually make my own chai but I thought that for those busy mornings, I'll buy this concentrate and it'll save me some time. BAD idea. It sounds easy enough except this tastes NOTHING like Chai! It tastes a bit like ginger with a mild taste of tea but not chai. I followed the instructions on the package. 1:1 milk + this concentrate. Both hot and cold, this tastes weird. I'd probably be okay if they call this anything else except chai. It's not as flavorful as chai should be like with distinct notes of spices and all you taste here is ginger. I wont be buying this again and if you really want to know what chai tastes like, go to any Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Nepali restaurant and ask for a cup of chai. It'd be a LOT better than having this. Sorry for the long rant but I find it annoying when companies decide to sell products to consumers who don't know better.

I love this brand because it offers the unsweetened version - I can add my own sweetener as needed. This way it allows me to get the same chai flavor without making it overly sweet. Quality product - just the perfect chai taste. With many other brands I find it too “Spicy” at times

I love this brand of chai. It is a delicious and spicy chai, unlike overly sweet and syrupy ones. Lots of ginger flavor and no had ingredients. I wish my local grocery stores still sold it.However, this one came to me leaking and is not returnable. I'm extremely disappointed as I don't know how long it's had a leak and it might have gone bad.

Nice fresh gingery kick. Delicious. I like that it's unsweetened so I can add my own stevia. I thought it was pricey until I considered how much it would be to buy the equivalent at Starbucks.
