DEEPCOOL Multi Core X6 Notebook/Laptop Cooler | Four Fans | 2 USB Ports | Compatible with 39.63cm (15.6") notebooks and Below - DP-N422-MCX6

This is the second time I've bought this product, which itself shows that I was completely satisfied with the last purchase for me to go for a repeat purchase. The fans are large, well spread out and does the job, that they are meant to do, quite well. The 2 grooves running across the length and breadth of the cooling pad also helps in air flow. The combination of 4 fans and 2 grooves actually work better than the Belkin cooling pads with their curved design and 1 small fan. I use my laptop a lot on bed and I think the design of Deepcool Multicore X6 allows for much better air flow resulting in more efficient laptop cooling compared to Belkin cooling pads. The slightly taller stands of the Deepcool Multicore X6 raises the cooling pad to a height where there is a comfortable gap between the surface on which it is kept and the fans, allowing them to draw air easily. Whereas, the curved design of Belkin means, the fan is placed at the bottom of the curve and it touches the surface with no gap to draw air, which severely handicaps its efficiency. This is especially true when using on soft surfaces like a bed, where the stand tends to sink in, reducing the gap between the fan and the surface of the bed.Other than the 4 fans, there are very few other features on this cooling pad. It has a regulator for the fan speed, from 'Off' to 'Max' and 2 stops in between. However, I've not tried to gauge the difference in fan speeds at each of the different settings, preferring to just leave it at 'Max' all the time. This cooling pad comes with two USB ports, one to connect to the laptop to provide power for the fans and the second one as a compensation for the USB port on the laptop that will get blocked for providing power. Apart from these functional aspects the cooling pad has a no nonsense no fuss appearance. No fancy lights or speakers or USB hub, it has one purpose and one purpose only - to cool your laptop, which it does quite efficiently.Cons:1. Folding stands are not very sturdy. If you move the cooling pad while the stands are down, better make sure that you lift it and move it rather than drag it, even if you are repositioning it by a few inches. This is especially true if you are using it on bed. Most cooling pads with folding stands have this risk and only way to avoid it is to use cooling pads with fixed stands.2. Although I like its looks, others may find the design to be too Bauhaus for their taste.3. Fans can't be easily cleaned. Over time dust and hair bits will get entangled on the axle of the fan, but there is no easy way to open the cooling pad and clean the fans. You will just have to live with it.4. The rubber strips meant to prevent the laptop from slipping over the edge of the cooling pad, are very small and the glue is not very strong either; resulting in the rubber strips frequently changing their position from the weight of the laptop. This is one aspect where I think Belkin cooling pads score over the Deepcool Multicore X6. Belkin cooling pads come with anti-skid rubber pad covering the whole front part of the cooling pad and is integrated into it, so no question of the rubber moving or the laptop skidding anywhere.

Been using it for the better part of two years now and figured out why not write a review for something that has now become an integral part of my setup.Pros :1. The fans are placed on all four quadrants eliminating the issue of hot-spots on the laptop due to graphics card/CPU or the north-bridge which are all located at different places and not united2. Multiple angle setting for better viewing comfort3. Noise is very low for a setup with 4 Fans.4. Cools the internals of the laptop by a handy 5-6 degrees and recommended for extendend usageCons :1. It comes in a bit on the heavier side2. Individual fan controls are not present3. Mesh does not come out for handy cleaning

I had ordered Multicore X6 as a replacement to my non-branded old cooling pad which I got for less than a 100, had 4 fans and worked fine for more than 5 yrs. Looking out for a replacement to such a macho item was a challenge.Pros:I must say DeepCool did a good job at it. The fans are smooth, silent and effective. I must say I am impressed with the results I am getting with this piece of work cooling pad. A few inferences - I own a Dell 15" laptop which I use a lot for racing games, and I often take the juice out of that guy. With my old cooling pad, it became a challenge to go past 3hrs mark at a stretch and the plastic used to heat so much, you could get it confused with if your hand was on a burner.. It stays cool now though! Thanks to the new X6. It works better than the internal CPU fan in my Dell. The power controller IC of my laptop was burnt a year ago, as I pushed it beyond its limits, Since then I was not confident of opening more than 2-3 programs at a time on my Windows. Now I crossed 10+ different things running quite fine with the top "keeping cool". Plus I love the USB port available in the right side of the cooling pad compensating for the loss it uses to power up. One more thing, Usually all cooling pads don't have their floor covered, just the ceiling.. this one f..cks them all, We can use it actually on the lap with the laptop or even on the bed.Now that's a tank full of cool...Cons:I would've loved a few of these -* Higher fan speed* Few LEDs to kick up the look* An extra USB PortThanks to Amazon.in, trying to beat the better expectations people have on you everyday with every product. Keep it up! Your prices are competitive (better) to other players in India currently with a few exceptions like wooden jewellery boxes etc. Good Luck to your Analytics team for that.. This is one big cooling solution for laptops with 4 fans. The build feels sturdy and rugged and the product is quite heavy. It has one USB pass through port which is nice but could have used one more. The sound levels when the 4 fans are running is acceptable. The cooling performance is quite good and even under heavy load it provided good cooling performance. Recommended for the people who do processor intensive works and gamers with 15.6 in laptops. Not really meant for casual users.

Si enfría bien, lo utilizo para una laptop de 15,6' puedes encender solo los ventiladores de la parte trasera o los 2 de la parte delantera o los 4. Yo solo enciendo los de la parte trasera y no hace mucho ruido, es silencioso, tal vez al principio notas ligeramente el ruido pero igual como te acostumbras ya después pasa desapercibido

This is a large laptop cooler so good for those who use bigger sized ones. Has the ability to run front two fans, back two fans or all four which is great.

Solid construction and design. Not flimsy, no loose parts, fans work, switch and usb ports work. I'm able to use an external USB hard drive with the USB out port on the cooling pad. So far, keeping my thinkpad cool to the touch. Can't beat it for the price, I think I paid $12 or 13.Comes with two rubber pads/feet to use, not necessary if your laptop has rubber feet. Includes USB cable. Even without the fans on it helps keep my laptop cooler than it would be sitting directly on a desk or table.I don't understand why this item doesnt have better reviews, but after reviewing cooling pad reviews and browsing different ones, I'm happy with my purchase.
