Terrible handling. Fingers all over the cymbals
The cymbals from Meinl are superb! But Yanda needs to improve their handling of their products. The cymbals had fingers all over their top hi hat. I don’t touch my cymbals with my fingers. All drummers know this is an absurd. I don’t accept getting new cymbals with fingers on them. Waiting for their feedback on what they will do.

Beautiful and versatile high hats!!!
I bought the 14” hats first and then had to get the 13” hats also!! These Serpent HHs are so versatile with no top or bottom cymbal!! One cymbal is traditionally lathed while the other is just hammered!! With the lathed and beautifully polished on top, they are bright, flip them over with the hammered on top they are dark and shimmering!! It’s like getting two pair of hats for the price of one!! They are a bit expensive but are the last hats I will buy and they allowed me to sell 3 other pairs that I have!! Great high hats and beautiful too!!!

One of a Kind Hi Hats
I personally love these hi hats. They have a very unique sound which I have never heard before. They are fun to play and have changed the over sound of my drums in a positive way. These hats sound dark but track (record) normal. The are very dry and have very short sustain. The bottom cymbal is very heavy which makes for lower to medium pitched barks. These cymbals are more appropriate for a jazz/fusion or electronic music rather than rock. There is not enough sustain and the hats are too small for half open playing.

Best Hi Hats EVER
Sweet Jesus. I received this two babies and immediately set them. First thing I noticed was the weight they had, then the LOVELY amazing unlathed finish, its really awesome. You can see what a good manufacturing process they go through, in Turkey of course. They are really dark with a quick decay when washed, they cut through really well, and also very articulate. They are awesome for Funk, Fusion, Jazz, and some limited Rock. Best decision ever made!

Amazing Sound!
I absolutely love my dark hats. If you hate hi-hate "CLANG" or a super hard "CHICK" sound, then get you some dark hats. These particular hats are super dry too, so keep that in mind.OH. I forgot to mention. THEY ARE GORGEOUS.

More versatile than you'd think
Very cushy and feel-good in their stick sound with plenty of nice breathiness to the open sound, though they are certainly on the quieter side of things. The top makes a great large splash too! I've been using them upside down almost exclusively, though. In this configuration, the unlathed cymbal gives you a wonderfully different timbre, sort of like the 13" Extra Dry hats but sharper. It being heavier than the lathed cymbal, you could easily use this configuration for funk, lighter rock, and many more musical styles that need a less warm, more typical sound.I also bought a used 13" extra heavy bottom hat that works amazingly with both of these cymbals as 'top hats'. Highly recommended.

Incredibly designed, versatle hi hats
Very beautiful and dynamic pair of hi hats. The 13'' though smaller than the traditional 14'', cuts through anything and can be heard past all the other noise/music surrounding it. These hats are gorgeous and you can see the craftsmanship that went into making it. The sound is exactly what I was looking for in a finish like this; unlike the "brilliant" version, these hats are not too bright but a big step away from sounding dark and dry. Rather, they provide a nice sweet spot tone somewhere in-between bright and dark, because of the level ended sound you get out of these they are excellent for all types of music. I could comfortably use these is an orchestral setting, but could also play hard rock on them. Great set of hi hat cymbals, I have nothing negative to say about them.
