Capacity:120 GB Incredible speeds plus rock-solid reliability - kingston's a400 solid-state drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, loading and file transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Powered by a latest gen controller for read and write speeds up to 500mb/s and 450mb/s, this ssd is 10x faster than a traditional hard drive for higher performance, ultra-responsive multi-tasking and an overall faster system. Also more reliable and durable than a hard drive, a400 is built with flash memory. There are no moving parts, making it less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive. It's also cooler and quieter, and its shock and vibration resistance makes it ideal for notebooks and other mobile computing devices. A400 is available in multiple capacities from 120gb-480gb to give you all the space you need for applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard drive or a smaller ssd with a drive big enough to hold all your files.

Awesome performance
Got this on sale. I must say this is really awesome. Coming from a 5400rpm HDD, I will say the difference i snight and day. I am never going to look back at a HDD (except for storage). The speeds are nearly 300-500 MBps. Startup time (boot) is about 10sec and restart is around 15 sec. Browser and office apps open in 5 secs, unlike HDD where you can go and make coffee. Never had such a responsive PC in my life. (How did I survive so long?)There are many SSD and NVME which are way faster than this but I highly doubt that you will notice any significant real world difference upgrading to a better SSD.This is an awesome and the most crucial upgrade in a PC. Best for the first timers who are moving from HDD to SSD. Its cheap and Fast. Games load like its nothing. Its just plug and play. No extra software needed. The only con is that it doesn't come with the screws needed. But you can get those under ₹10.Overall a great product.

Fast SSD, not as good as a Samsung SSD.
I got this SSD for my 10 year old PC. I am not getting full speeds because the old PC only supports SATA II, not SATA III. Still decent.Tested it on my new PC, speeds are good. My old Samsung Evo 850 is 1.5x to 2x faster in benchmarks, but practically, there is no difference. Benchmark picture attached.Just worried because the SSD idle's at 50°C and goes up to 60°C under load, which is excessive. Overall, good SSD for the price. Kingston should improve packaging quality, and also include screws with the SSD. That would be very helpful.

Worth every penny.
It is made out of metal and build quality is miles ahead of SanDisk and Crucial. It has better cooling due to it's metallic frame and hence it is perfect for under ventilated cases. Performance wise, it is better than SanDisk SSD but a little slower than a Crucial MX275. The only downside is that it does not come with any specific cloning software or monitoring application unlike both SanDisk and Crucial which comes with their own version of Acronis program. I used Macrium Reflect for cloning. It is FREE but a little slower than Acronis. (Acronis will cost you money.) I also used NIUBI Partition Editor (not free.) to resize the partitions after cloning. Refer to YouTube tutotials on how to extend partitions using NIUBI Partition Editor. It's awesome. Now, since you read my review you can blindly buy this SSD as it is the cheapest in terms of size to price ratio. Cheers!

Easy Installation, Great speed, Not issues with perfomance in 6 months
I bought 240 GB Version in Sep 2018, and writing this review in Jan 2019.Installation:1. Just open the packing and you need to connect your motherboard's SATA cable and SATA Power cable with SSD and that's it.Usage Review:1. I installed my Windows 10 OS in the SSD and as well as other heavy programs like MATLAB, Xilinx VLSI Design Studio, TensorFlow,PyTorch, Nvidia CUDA Development Kit, Visual Studio, pretty much every program I installed, I installed it on SSD.2. Boot time is really amazing it is in range between 4-7 secs, and you will feel like your PC was in hibernate.3. Write Speed is around 800 MB/s (Mega Bytes).4. Heavy Programs like MATLAB, ISE Design Suite load up quickly, I can recommend adding 1 or 2 Games in SSD if you want to.5. I didn't bought the tray to attach the ssd to traditional HDD casing, I just used some tape to keep it in place inside the cabinet, since it is too light, you can just use a regular tape to keep it in place.6. Some people have a wrong conception about SSDs is that they die quickly, I have been using it since Sep 2018 with heavy R/W load, and health is still on 99%.7. I recommend installing Kingstone SSD Manager to keep track of your SSD Health if you want. (See screenshot for details)I can recommend it to anyone if they want to build a system or upgrade an old setup, moving OS and programs into SSD is a good idea to utilize your processor's power. (Even if your processor is 2nd Gen, a HDD will always be bottleneck).

It's great. Getting the following speeds from crystal disk mark:Sequential Read (1GB block) 554 MB/s Write 456 MB/s4KiB Pieces (1 GB total) Both read and write are around 330MB/sAlso, it's extremely light weight, fools you into thinking that it is an empty piece of hardware LOLI've trusted Kingston over the years and they surely don't disappoint, enjoy!

Just go for it
My acer E5 572G is insanely fast after adding this boy and replacing the default HDD. Really happy with the purchase I am even running virtual machines on my laptop with buttery smooth performance. One more thing my default os is windows 10 Home it use to show loading screen on boot for at least 1.5 mins before putting this boy in my laptop, but now there is no need for me to sit idle and look at the loading screen anymore.Read Speed is just top notch can't ask for anything more than what's providedWrite speed isn't that amazing even though its better than a HDD not a con actually but just thought to mention it based on my observation. Conclusion:Got more than what I had expected from this product.

Great Product
It works great, well you may not feel your computer 10 times faster than your hard-drive as it is said in product details page, but you will feel the change in how fast your computer boots up, how fast the applications load, overall its a very good experience. The price is very competitive towards other products, anyone who is not a hard-core fan of Samsung SSDs will definitely choose this.
