Hermosa pero triste!
Si a casi 50 años de su muerte Elvis sigue impactando la vida de millones de personas, devastador imaginar como impacto su perdida en la vida de su unica hija. “I felt my father could change the weather”… Son las primeras palabras de LM en este desgarrador relato. Compré el libro en físico, porque es uno de esos ejemplares que vale la pena tener, y lo leí junto con el audiolibro en el que Julia Roberts hace una soberbia lectura junto con Riley.

Beautifully written, hauntingly heartbreaking
Very well written book by Lisa Marie Presley and her daughter Riley, some funny stories( that had me lol), heartwarming and heartbreaking stories(yes I did cry), gone way before her time, Lisa Marie would be very proud of her Daughter!Loved this book ❤️

The Presleys
Jag har inte hunnit läsa boken ännu. Alla andra böcker jag läst om The Presleys har varit bra, så jag förmodar att denna också är 👍

utterly amazing book
lisa marie lived a sad life, growing up in the shadows of a person larger than life itself. the man who started it all. the first rock icon. roughly one third of the book covers her life in graceland and mentions the poor treatment of priscilla towards her. i think her was life full of tragedies, i couldn't help it but shed tears to the book as i was turning each page away. a. well written memoir. riley keough did her justice. may wherever lisa marie is now, i hope she's at peace.

Tremendously emotional!!!
This book (and the audiobook which I advise to listen to) turned out to be a real gem, despite my initial skepticism. I feared it might be "cleansed" a lot from many things we already knew about Lisa's life, her struggles and suffering. From being a famous child, having to face the death of her beloved father and feeling totally lost and empty in the hands of the only one person who should have stood by her and helped her on her growth path but she turned out to be really self-centered. Lisa wasn't perfect, but she did everything she could to find joy in the pain, and to look for love around, dedicating herself to her children and trying to be a rock and a point of reference for them.Unfortunately this book appears perhaps too short to cover this intense life...I suppose many things have been left out , maybe because they were too "uncomfortable" for someone (for example her experience in Scientology from where she escaped).I also didn't like the fact that the English edition has some parts cut out or "censored" compared to the US version or the audiobook. Why??Anyway, this book represents part of her legacy, and I thank Riley for giving her mother a voice. I hope she and her beloved Ben will forever rest in peace next to Elvis, there, "in the damn back lawn" (cit. LIGHTS OUT)
