BLACK+DECKER GL350-GB 350-Watt Strimmer (Orange, Plastic)

This is an excellent product from Black & Decker., Very worth, value for money. Enough RPM to trim your garden grass, especially when it comes to yourself doing all the odd jobs. My wife, kids (grown up boys) love it.The only drawback is that the guard needs to be unscrewed after use to clean it, which is though NOT very difficult BUT I think, a snap-ob facility would have been a killer. Also the guard could be more hard so that you can make the cutter stand on it. Even now I can make the cutter vertically stand with the support of the guard but it's NOT sturdy enough.But with only this very small shortcoming, it's a product worth having, especially if you love doing your garden why yourself!

This is a decent purchase. I recommend you people to by this.Only problem is that you need to always adjust the thread, it will runway very fast and if you are not careful, sometimes whole spool will get tangled.

It was easy to operate, but during the third use there was a burnt smell and smoke came out of the product... Not sure it will work again... Let me see whether it can be serviced...

It works very well. But we need long cord wire and cannot cut all areas of grass in our big garden, because of the cord problem. But excellent. We do not cut it from ground level as it uproots the shaded grass variety we have. So we have to lift it to trim from ground up.That can be quite an arm pain. But the good side of this is, it trims grass in a gif. Work done so fast . Worth all the inconvenience. It's truly magical.

It's good for the price we pay but yet it covers a small area with 10cm of recommended string length. String keeps breaking off quite often and doesn't work automatically as it says with pressing, every time we have to pull it from the spool manually. But the biggest problem I faced is, within a couple of hours of usage, smoke started coming out of the motor and it became very hot. After that, it never worked. Good that it happened within the amazon return timeframe else I had to run around for warranty/guarantee during the lockdown in Bangalore.

It is very difficult to find spares for this machine. I haven't got any experience with other parts during the other spare parts. The spool, spool cover are required frequently as they are worn out with regular usage. I could buy the spools and spool covers once AES Tradescripts, Bangalore but he doesn't have now. Ultimamac is another online store where I ordered for spools now.If you cant get the spares it is useless to buy this machine or as a matter of fact any strimmer machine. I think Black + Decker and Amazon must stop selling any products if they are not sure of making spare parts/consumables available to the consumers. This amounts to cheating.

This strimmer definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Made my life easy by making trimming of grass/weeds easy and with fun. Initially planned to go for a petrol one but looking at various reviews about maintainability and other issues thought to evaluate an electric one, initially was skeptic but felt amazing after the first usage. Price is also great - not high. The trim lines are available easy at affordable price (~300/-) on amazon itself. The length of the cable (6m) is bit disappointing. Also worried whether I will get the spool set for this model if it breaks as this is the most impacted part subjected to wear and tear. Motor will definitely give life, have some trust on black and decker.I would definitely recommend this product, go for it if you are skeptic about this.Happy trimming !!!

Its really like a toy, no power to cut any heavy stuffs. May be you can use it with lot of effort to cut any grass at all. Do not waste money on this useless tool for any of your garden maintenance. You need a much more powerful cutter for it. Overall, its a bad product for its intended use.
