Easy one finger use and no leaks
You operate this water nozzle with just your thumb! Smooth adjustment and no leaks. I've used one of these for years and just bought two more for my other hoses. It also swivels easily as you move about without tangling the hose - genius! Plenty of spray patterns, but you will have to memorize the icons. They are not very intuitive. Not sure how long this item will be available. It is well constructed and of high quality so I expect it will succumb to skimpflation eventually.

Leaks but easy to use
The part that swivels swung around freely and then started leaking in about a week. Twisting it clockwise seemed to help but after a while, nothing worked to tighten it so I had to discontinue use. Because I initially thought this was a good product, I had purchased a second one for another hose. The second one does not swivel as easily. Weβll see if it gets loose and begins to leak, too.Update: After trying different nozzles, I have gone back to buying this model because it has two features I need -- thumb control and swivel. These features make it easy to deal with a heavy rubber hose in daily gardening. I have purchased 3 replacements in 9 months. Not a good track record but to be fair, I often dropped the first 3 on the ground so probably hastened their demise. I am treating this last purchase gently so hopefully it will last longer.

Great heavy duty build but it leaks
I bought this item because it appeared to be heavy duty and I like the thumb valve Vs a squeeze handle to operate. The only problem I have is the swivel leaks. I was most excited about this particular part of the design but it has failed. Water drips through the swivel and runs down my hand or arm when operating. Other than that it a good design.

"Heavy duty" depends on your point of view
I have 2 similar Gilmours, both 4 or 5 years old that are heavy duty. They are metal, with a thick on-off lever, and have been occasionally dragged and dropped on a concrete driveway. They a kinda scuffed up but work well. I ordered this because I needed one for another hose location. The marketing person who decided to call this "heavy duty" must have trained as a political speech writer; it is probably heavy duty compared to their light duty version of the same nozzle but it isn't anything like the older models and isn't as heavy duty as some other makes currently available. I have had it for a couple months. It may or may not hold up but I am not holding my breath. The spray patterns are good although some of the symbols for patterns take getting used to. The swivel connect might be useful if moving from hose to hose but I use quick connects so that isn't an issue and it also makes it easy to spray yourself or other unintended targets. The on/off lever is way too easy to engage, making it easy to tun on or off by mistake when moving around. Maybe that would be useful for someone with arthritis, so easy movement could be a plus, but it is certainly flimsy compared to the old model. It may last, but for now I am betting that the old ones will still be working when this one wears out. The packaging brags "new" and it is. At least it doesn't say "improved". Who knows, maybe it is made of some new miracle material that will make it last for years and years without breaking.

Love the swivel feature
We bought several of these after trying one. We love the swivel feature and it is easy to use. We had one break on us and I have yet to use the warranty on it. But I will everntually.

Swivel Feature Breaks Easily
The Swivel Feature seemed to be one of the best aspects of this nozzle, however within the first 2 days of using it, the function has seized up and does not swivel anymore. The connection above the swivel link has now become loose and the nozzle leaks from that connection spot. Very disappointed; for the money I paid I was expecting many years' worth of use from this without issues. Also, it was a Father's Day gift so this is even more of an upset as now I have to try and fix this or buy a new one for my dad. I really did love this thing when it actually worked properly... Please replace this product Gilmour, I can provide pictures and everything!

Didn't last a summer
This nozzle was great. Easy to use. Durable. Everything the ad said. Until is wasn't. I got it in Spring and by summer it was useless. The nozzle leaked so badly from above the swivel part, watering the plants and garden ended with a soaking hand and arm, from all the water running down it. Finally, the plastic bit that turns the water on and off, cracked and broke off when the nozzle fell on the ground. So, all in all, not durable at all. Very disappointed that it did not even do what it was supposed to do for longer than a month, let alone one single summer.

Well built and great product.
A great product and very well built. Works well. It has good spray patterns. Only draw back I find is that I'm not a huge fan of the trigger style. I'm more partial to the traditional style. When holding on to this watering gun, sometimes while working with it I I can turn on the nozzle with the back of my thumb knuckle by mistake. Wish the thumb control went in the opposite direction. I would have preferred if on was off and off was on. Hope that makes sense.

Cadillac of garden nozzles
This is likely the best garden nozzle I have ever used. The valve is smooth and simplifies a process I did not know needed simplifying. It took a few uses to get accustomed to the lack of a trigger but I don't want to go back. This item is very well made as well.
