Intelligent and insightful art
We live in a society where women are held to contradictory standards for their bodies -- they are expected to be blatantly sexual in order to court male attention, yet are despised for those same displays of sexuality. The line between owning one's sexuality has been blurred with the cynical efforts to court male attention. So the creator of this book is to be commended for creating such an intelligent, elaborate art piece as "Kim Kardashian Selfish," which subtly yet scathingly lampoons the current pop-culture trends of shallow celebrity and social-media selfies. This collection of photographs of reality-TV blister Kim Kardashian is far more than meets the eye -- it may seem vacuous, but it is definitely far more.At first glance, these photographs seem to be the worst kind of vapid social media attention-garnering. But it soon becomes clear that these photos have been compiled so that the sheer emptiness of their subject has become apparent. What could be more empty and soulless than a constant stream of selfies, focused entirely upon the sexuality of a woman who has no function in society?Without a word to guide the reader, the reader is slowly immersed into a world of complete lack of substance, forcing even the most undiscerning mind to realize that it is immersed in something that has no reason to exist. At the same time, the title "Selfish" gives us a hint about the intended purpose of this. Social media has allowed people to cultivate self-promotion to the point of obsession, focusing as much attention on themselves as possible. It also has a possibly-unintended message about the nature of celebrity. Celebrity and social media are now intertwined irrevocably, so that any person with enough social media presence can become a celebrity, and any celebrity needs a social media presence to maintain their social significance. So this book shows us what celebrity now is, and all it requires: an empty succession of images using transparent, blatant sexuality to attract the attention of the lowest common-denominator. At the same time, it forces us to examine our attitudes towards the rich and famous -- why do we pay more attention to pictures of the breasts, butt and lolling tongue of Kim Kardashian, when it would not be worthy of our interest in an ordinary woman? Indeed, it might be considered obnoxious and reprehensible. So yes, this must be an elaborate satire, and a brilliantly subtle yet effective one.Either that, or this book is just a vapid waste of paper, celebrating a vacuous celebrity and her cartoonish, grotesque, surgically-deformed body. Not to mention an unironic chronicling of her social media obsession, in a desperate attempt to fill the gaping black hole in her soul with transient attention for showing off her body and "sexy" faces, and pandering to "fans" that likely cannot spell their own names. But that possibility is so depressing that I would want to go bury myself alive in the backyard, so I choose to believe the former scenario is the one that actually is true.

to the fans
I don't really know why the haters keep coming here and spill sexist comments. She has always been a confident woman, what's the problem with it? Get over yourselves.
