For My Acne Problems

Expensive but a little bit useful

I'm a working professional, around 34 years of age. I had acne, since the age of maybe 16 or so... But I also had an operation recently. The Mederma leaflet mentioned acne, so I thought let me try it for acne treatment (instead of operation marks)....I started using this cream for acne scars. I had many acne scars on my face, making it uneven plus, this left my face skin red. This redness got worse during heavy exercise, sunlight, extreme temperatures, etc...I'm now using Mederma for around a month, and I can say there definitely is improvement. Now, my skin is more of its normal fair skin color with lesser spots on it. It gets less reddish in sunlight, and few people did comment that my appearance is getting better... From a distance of around 4 feet in low-medium light, my acne scars are no longer visible. On close inspection, yes they appear, but much lesser than before.I always dreamed of such a product, but with a market this big, and full of fakes, I was scared. But I'm happy to make the right choice!!Only cons are that this product is moderate-high priced. But I think the price is justified with good results, atleast for me.One more con is, since acne scars are spread over the face, it takes a lot of Mederma to be applied. I've finished two ten gram tubes already, and my first tube of 20 grams is halfway through...So, why haven't I given it 5 stars? I normally would, with such results.But, I want to complete the full specified course of "3-6 months" for old acne scars. Its only a month now!If my acne disappears completely, as it should, I will edit my post and give it the MUCH DESERVED 5 stars... And, I have a gut feeling, I will do so!

Very very very bad product and they don't solved issue

Change is minute. It requires at least 3-4 months of usage to remove a mole like a scare.

The outer cover was damaged, that can be ignored as it is small carton box. But what I don't understand is how there is hole on the tube , which the customer has to prick open it. So, I feel it is an used tube.

A couple of things to keep in mind about this product. 1) It is not a cosmetic product, use only for visible scars 2) It is more effective on a new scar 3) Your skin unfortunately has a limited capacity to heal itself, your age, diet and lifestyle also affects the way you heal. But most importantly the age and intensity of the scar will determine how quickly it heals. There is only so much this ointment can do. Despite the quantity being very little, overall it's a good product. Use a non-oily moisturizer as your skin will begin to peel (like when you come into contact with glue) Old scars may lighten but not disappear.

Unbelievable. Should have listen to the other person on reviews who said it has broken glass crystals mixed in the cream..Fake cream Amazon should not sell this. I will report both Amazon and this seller. They have damaged my face even more. Had small acne scars now I'm left with cuts all over my face because of the broken glass mixed in this cream.

It is a fake product. The smelling and texture of this product are different from the one bought before.

Its a watery gel, but works wonders. It dries like an invisible film. Tried others with small difference. Only been using this product a few weeks on my old scars which have improved and have great faith that in time to come, I will have even better result to tell you. I only get round to putting it on twice a day due my hectic lifestyle.

Best post op scar gel on the market - no doubt about it. Also great for older scars
