Serious performance.
I initially ordered this as the flash on my DSLR is far from powerful and the refresh time can get a little annoying. I wasn't expecting something of this level! The box it comes in, is huge, and heavy, and when I opened it, I found out why, this thing is one serious piece of kit, far more than an amateur like me would ever need. The flash is heavy and I mean heavy! You wouldn't want to be carrying this around with you, it's definitely meant to be part of a studio setup. A lot of the weight can be attributed to the large battery which will undoubtedly give enough power for the average shoot, but as its removable, you could buy more if your needs exceed the avaliable power. The flash gun comes with an end cap to protect the light element, it's held in place with a basic, but functional locking system, I was a little surprised at how exposed the light element was, it's an integral part, yet it's literally uncovered, i assume this is to prevent and unwanted diffusion, but it did worry me a little. This is however partially addressed by the wide end reflective cone that really helps to provide a more subtle amd even light, albeit it does seem to be limited to warm white, not cool (better for most applications in my opinion). The two most impressive things I found about this flashgun in the relatively shirt period of testing I've done so far are:- The flash power and range, it is literally like having your own personal mini sun!!- The cycle time, it's incredibly quick, when you're used to a traditional built in flash, the step up is unbelievable. I could rattle shots off as if it was daytime, with each shot keeping a constant light level.... as a keen amateur, its mind blowingly fast!!Priced at £298.99 (less a £40 voucher at the time of ordering), this isn't going to be for everyone, it's a serious investment. That's said, if you do a lot of outside low light photography, or even indoor portrait work, and need more light, it's an investment that can easily be justified.

Syncs with camera, so many features, lots to learn, needs a light stand, not camera tripod fitting
As can be seen in my video and photos, I am a starter in photography and video with not quite yet a fully kitted out studio area, but I am getting there and I am a little bit closer with this gorgeous studio flash. Yes its for outdoors, and I will be using it for that too. But so far I am testing (and learning) the features.Primarily, this can be synced with my Canon dslr in three ways. A direct cable to my camera, a light sensing mode, or using a wireless trigger that mounts onto my DSLR hotshoe. As shown in my pictures, I chose the latter. The trigger has dip switches to set different wireless channels but by default it was set to channel 1, and the flash was also set to channel 1 by default, so on switching both on, they were immediately connected. The whole flash unit oozes quality, robust construction and professionalism. Comes with a reflector and diffuser which I used as shown in my video. The flash synchronises brilliantly with my camera at various f stops. There is much for me to learn in how to use it to its full capabilities. But for now, I am happy with my initial photography tests. One thing I did not know is that I have studio light panels and cameras all on tripods which all have a standard 1 1/4 bolt. I thought this strobe flash unit would use the same. But I now realise that these flash units use a different type of stand connector. So, I need to purchase such a stand for this.

A decent, powerful strobe with a few quirks
the NEEWER Q300 is a 300W powerhouse, perfect for outdoor shoots. Surprisingly, no carry bag comes with it, but it’s sturdy and well-built. it's heavy to carry so not very convenient in terms of portability but this not an issue for me. one full charges of battery runs efficiently for loads of shots. A bit tricky to set up and the Bowens mount feels flimsy and light is warm which could be perfect for some specific photoshoot.

very high quality
This product comes inside of a cardboard box; once opened, you will find the product itself - the q300w outdoor studio flash, it also comes with a Q wireless trigger. As of review, this product is priced at £298.99 - this is definitely of value, it works perfectly and is of very good quality, the product also works outside - which would be very good for events - like weddings or birthday parties.the product uses a pretty big battery, which lasts a very long time, this makes it much easier to use in outdoor situations (especially as you won't have a plug socket).this product is very easy to use and set; the wireless trigger is quite easy to use, although I prefer using the NEEWER Q4 + QPRO-N with this product; they all work together, and it makes a very high-quality professional studio-grade lighting setup (especially when outdoors).the product, again, is very high quality, and I would recommend it to anyone doing outdoor photography.
