I was looking for a lightweight backpack for my 12-yo son, mostly for travel, so I didn’t want it to be too big, but I did want some compartments. This fits the bill.Pros:- nice, soft material that is still very sturdy (we got one backpack that was SO stiff and rigid that we really didn’t like; this one is not like that)- water repellent surface that is easy to clean- good size compartments hold a lot- smaller compartments / pockets, like the compartment for lap top or tablet and the hidden pocket in the back- luggage strap is convenient for travelCons:- I wish the zippers had pulls on them! The zippers themselves glide well, but pulls would make them easier to access and use.We recently used this backpack on a weeklong trip, which included a flight, and it was great!

This backpack is surprisingly sturdy, with a durable exterior and well-lined interior. The exterior has a crepe-like texture, and I appreciate the numerous pockets, including the back pocket and the robust drawstring cup holders. The shoulder strap padding is thick and comfortable. My only drawback is the color; the “khaki” I received is more of a cream or latte, and the interior color is a cool grey, which doesn’t quite match the warm exterior. Despite this, the backpack is well-made and functional, and overall, I'm happy with it.

The backpack is cute, but it was received stained and with an unpleasant fish scent on the inside. Returning for a replacement simply because I like the style, I just hope the replacement doesn’t smell the same nor appear used. If so, I’ll leave 1 star and return permanently.

I got this because my daughter loved it last year. She had a green one that is still in great shape but we got the neutral tan colored one for back to school. This is a great size back pack. Lots of pockets. Insulated and water proof. Very durable and well made. It is also just cool looking.
