It is as described in the listing. Easy to mount with installed hardware. It is brighter than I was expecting, but that's good in my use.I was looking for a switch to change from white to amber (there is not one). I had to go back to the listing as no instructions are included and you really don't need any other than remembering it switches color by turning it on/off/on.I would prefer a switch for one constant color as I only needed amber. but it's not a big issue.

I have only battery-tested this light so far but overall I think it will work well for my application. I will either be using this in the cockpit of my boat or in the engine room of the boat. Either way, it's nice to have an IP67 rating. Note that in one area of the product description/photo it says IP68. In another area it says IP67. They are both waterproof ratings, however IP68 is rated to a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes, while IP67 is rated to a depth of 1m for 30 min.I questioned the IP rating at first because the wire/pigtail of the light disappears into a rather large hole behind a metal plate. It did not appear to be sealed. However, I removed the plate to find a fully potted area where the wires actual enter the housing. Note that there wasn't any actual support for the wire where it goes into the potting, so if you pull hard on the wire, it may pull right out of the potting or break a solder joint. I would have like to see some kind of clamp or glue to help hold the wire in place and secure it better. This is why I reduced to 4 stars.I like that there are two choices for the light color. I'm starting to see this on other bulbs. The only issue for me is that you have to turn the light off and turn it back on to change colors. There is no external switch on this light, it is meant to be controlled by a remote switch. However, it would be nice to have a three-way rocker that let you set it to amber/off/white (for my purposes anyway).

My 20' covered trailer did not come with a porch light, nor any interior lights as I suppose that package was not purchased by the original owner. I was able to easily tap into the 12 volt battery powering the brake break-away system and run a power wire into the interior. I installed two switches by the door, one for this exterior porch light, and one for the interior lighting. I continued to run the power wire to the back, and added a dual switch again, one for the ramp exterior and the rear interior. I used this Chelhead RV Exterior Light White Amber Led RV Porch Light 12V RV Light on the exterior over the front door. Wow what a bright light! This light is very well made, waterproof also. The only con I have is the switching color, I wish there was a switch on the light itself to change the color, but so far just on-off-on will change it ok I suppose.
