Boon for Mac user. Easy to use with mac book. One of my friend was using for over 2 years and I bought by reference. I had SD but it’s a hell for Mac user if u don’t want to dedicated to time machine. So must buy

The silicone tips are a scam
The silicone tips won't protect your device as the device will land on the plastic body because the silicone parts don't exceed the plastic body. The cable length is ok for laptop but may not be ok for desktop. Also, the device gets heated very quickly. The data transfer rate isn't impressive at all. Hopefully it'll last long. The only good thing is it has usb 3 A on both sidessides (type c would have been better).

Great drive and brand that lasts
I've had this 2TB shock proof device since Sept 2018 and it is still working solidly. I don't use it super frequently, but mostly for occasional backups of my work computer. I'm not hard on devices, but this is a great unit that has been rugged, reliable and portable. I have purchased 5 Silicone Power(SP) devices in various sizes and protection levels that I use often, and I can say that the Silicone Power Rugged series of drives is my go to option for working drives when going on the road or when I'm in environments that I wouldn't want to take most hard drives. I stand by this brand and of the 5 different size/style SP Rugged drives I have purchased since 2015, none of them have failed me yet.
