Versatile and Unique!
This is light and provides a good amount of brightness too. The color changing temperature is good to have and the magnetic base with two different mounts, surprisingly, works really well. Not a gimmick.

Sadly the feature that's suppose to make to be a selling point is it's worst point.
This light had the potential of being really good and different with it's use of a magnet as it base, but sadly the magnet they are using just doesn't have the gusto to do the job.How weak the magnet is really affects the usability of this product. The magnet does work, but only if the ring light is mounted on top. As soon as you move it slightly off main axis it will start to either move on its own, or at least creep slowly away. Since there is a power cord that is actually a little thick coming out of it, even the weight of the cord or changing settings via the controller on the cord can move the light. It can't be understated how bad this is for the product because there isn't any other way to possibly mount the light. If they left a 1/4 inch screw mount on the light by the magnet it would of made this light so much more usable if you could provide your own mount solution. In my testing things like accidently touching the power cable moved the light, and also just touching my desk was enough to make the light creep down. It was very disappointing. The light itself is actually very nice. It's a small ring light, so you won't have killer catch lights in the eyes if you are using this on a webcam, or crazy shadows, but it does put out a nice light. The intensity drops does have 10 steps, and there are a good 5 steps for color temp.Something fun and entirely unexpected is it can be used as a hand held light for macro shooting. There's no filter thread so you would have to come up with a mounting solution, but it actually worked great paired with my RF100L macro lens.As the title suggest, the feature that was supposed to make this thing different and unique is ultimately what makes it a mediocre product. I don't believe it's worth the asking price at $50 until they fix it, or if you are okay with the limitations as written. To make the creep issue less, something I do suggest is taping down the power cord with a little slack to your monitor and keeping the light as close to the top of the mount as possible. That would probably make it move less, but also take away a lot of the freedom this type of mount is supposed to provide.

A quite nice, really illuminating light, no remote
This ring light is a great size (neither too large nor too small) and is sleekly designed. (I love how it looks!)- It throws considerable light for its size, which is what you pay for. It is a VERY good fill light for videos. (Photographers, check the lux and cf numbers.)- The desktop tripod elevates the base of the light max about four inches (three and change) above the desktop surface.- It can sit flat on the desktop, too.- It comes with a screen-top attachment that is rather cumbersome to me.- There's a threaded opening (female) on the inside of the screen top holder that looks like it might be adaptable for real tripod mounting, but I haven't tested.- While the round magnet ball used to secure it to the tripod DOES hold it up (just barely ha), it could be much stronger than it is. That said, the light's brightness supersedes the magnet's weakness.- Power etc is on the cord, no remote. Although inconvenient, being USB "plug in" is a good thing for long shoots (because I am so over two-hour lights turning off mid-taping).

This Ring Light Camera has Pro Features and Solved My Wife's Zoom from Home Problems. FIVE STARS!
AMAZON VINE REVIEW of the ZENIKO RING LIGHT for ZOOMMy wife works from home and uses Zoom OFTEN! Her home office faces south, so on sunny days, she has to close the blinds to block the sun from hitting her monitor (and making the room too warm). That makes for a comfortable computing environment, but not great lighting when zooming.A quick search on AMAZON led me to this ZENIKO Ring Light. One of its many features is use as a Selfie Light specifically for Zoom calls. It works perfectly to brighten her face even with the blinds closed. When I first proposed that she use this for her Zoom sessions she was not convinced she needed it."I kind of like being seen but not too much, you know?" I countered with “At least, give it a chance, if it does not solve the problem, we can easily return it to AMAZON.” That return policy sealed the deal. Her next Zoom was a meeting with one of her advisees and we dutifully got the light set up and launched a dry run on the network. It checked all the boxes, but it would require a real Zoom session to know for sure. After that one fifteen-minute Zoom meeting, she was sold. This Zeniko light offers more than a simple “selfie” light. Color temperature is adjustable from Cool to Warm in five discrete levels. The intensity of the light corresponds with the color change across the same five levels. In addition to color temperature and intensity, brightness is adjustable in 10 levels! These features are found in studio lighting systems, but this is a consumer-level light offering these professional capabilities to at-home Zoomers. We spent time acclimating to the very handy controller that is wired in line with the USB power cord. (My wife thought a built-in controller so it will NEVER get lost is a serious plus!). TEN different brightness levels, all easily changed with the PLUS + and MINUS – buttons on the controller. Add Ease of Use to the list of features for Zeniko.Beyond ALL the other features my wife thought the best feature is the magnetic "thingy" (her words) that connects the light to one of two bases – either the small square one, which connected to the monitor, or the larger tall one, which opens into a tripod! Very versatile! The ring light head switches easily between the monitor mount and the mini tripod and BOTH are stable in operation. There was serious thought applied to this design about HOW various end users might employ the light. Instead of the ONE SIZE FITS ALL approach this light offers variability and versatility to diverse users. Another plus. After several days of use, my wife noticed something else. Before adding the ring light, her "computer glasses" would cast a blue shadow on her eyes – not something she ever noticed from her perspective but appeared on her image in Zoom – part of the blue light blocker built into the lenses of all computer glasses. But with the ring light positioned exactly right (it took a few tries), the blue shadow disappears! My wife is SOLD on the Zeniko Ring Light for Zoom. It is a valuable addition to her “work from home” toolset. If your home office requires Zoom capabilities, this is a contender for inclusion in your office as well.FIVE STARS! And a HAPPY WIFE!Mark from North Carolina

Well-designed and well-made
I'm very happy with this ring light. For Zoom / Facetime video conferences on my computer, the range of brightness and color temperature is excellent. In an otherwise darkened room, this light alone provide more than enough diffuse illumination for great conferencing video. The lighting improvement for confrerencing in my home office, where I previously relied on room lighting, desk lights, and a window, is significant. The magnetic mounting options are excellent. The light is lightweight and remains stably fixed in place through a large range of useful positions. Aiming the light is a convenient one-handed process which does not require messing with thumbscrews. This is not a mobile light, it's intended for mounting in place on a monitor or desktop using the included stand. The controls are intuitive to use and ergonomic to hold. One button cycles through a useful range of 5 color temeperatures. Separate buttons increase and decrease brightness in 10 steps. The buttons have a nice tactile feedback. The light remembers its last setting when switched off.The light housing, lens, cable, controls, monitor mount, and tripod are all well-constructed. This light seems made to last. The housing remains cool in use.I had no problem powering the light from a USB hub. It draws only 1A.The length of the cable is about 5 feet, with the control buttons in the middle. This puts the control buttons within easy reach; I have the control conveniently placed next to my keyboard. The cable is heavy-duty and has strain relief lugs at the controls, which should extend its life.Because the light is so convenient to control and re-aim, and has such a wide range of brightness and color, I use it as a mini overhead "area light" for my computer workspace when I'm not on a conference.
