Q: Are they good for long distance hikes on mostly rokcky gravely trails?

All of our shoes and sandals are designed to allow the foot to move, bend and flex naturally. This means that there is no arch support, minimal if any cushioning and wider than average forefoot to allow for toe splay (similar to a EE in width). Our main concept is to allow you to move naturally, as if you were barefoot, but with protection! These sandals will work fine for this, just know they're a very barefoot sandal so you'll get lots of ground feedback! These sandals look wonderful and are very comfortable. I had them at Sand Dunes and I didn't feel hot. But it's not a sandals for walking more than 3-4 miles it's basically walking barefoot you can feel rocks and everything. Also good to know that apparently running little big, I'm 7 and these were something big for me.

This particular sandal runs large, so we suggest sizing down. If you normally wear a 9.5, it's likely these will fit you well in a size 9.

These sandals fit large, so we suggest sizing down. If you normally wear a men's size 7.5, it's likely these will fit you well in a men's size 7. A men's 7 = a women's 8 in sandals.
